Default Before I forget

I am so damn disgusted with the right wing crapola that I got distracted on something I think should be said.

Congressman Paul that proposed a budget plan for the GOP. I want to go on record as saying I admire him. Yes that is correct I admire and I respect what he tried to do.

Someone had to have the stones and the courage to do this at some point. He is taking a beating for it and I am not for that. Someone has to start the process and he did it and I thank him for it.

There I feel better.

I agree completely. I am damn disgusted with both right-wing and left wing crapola.

The only way the problems will be resolved permanently is to deal with the third rails of politics....social security, medicare and medicaid!

Sorry, Scorpio, you're wrong. The Prez laid the groundwork today for how to solve the budget situation - just raise taxes, works every time! Oh, wait a minute, I forgot, that hasn't worked in the past but it probably will this time.

Congress raised taxes in the 90s and ended the decade with a surplus.

Don't worry. The Ruling Class of both parties will make sure that Congressman Ryan pays for his innovation and courage.

Did none of you guys notice that "Eddie Munster grew up to be a JC Penney catalog model" Paul Ryan included a huge tax giveaway to the wealthy and big business? Who's going to pay for the revenue shortfall due to lowering the corporate tax rate from 35% to 25%? YOU ARE DIPSHITS!

Before Paul Ryan "fills in the hole" he proposes to dig it deeper. It makes no sense...unless you're the rich bastards that PAID to install guys like Ryan in government.

You are correct. I believe a contributing factor was the level of spending that was significantly less than today.

I'm convinced the cure will be spending cuts, some that hurt everyng in some way, and tax increases, not just on the wealthy.

Congress has never had the courage to do anything like what is needed before and I doubt they will now.

Ok now we have the Ryan plan, the President's plan, the gang of 6, the Deficit Commission and other contributions.

None of these alone will work. The best ideas of all of them can be used to make a plan to go forward. This is just awesome that in this country there will be a huge debate about the direction of our country. You can't cut your way to even and you can't tax your way to even. It will take a multipronged approach to get there but there will be discussion and debate.

I love this country for this part of us!

I hope it stays more civil than the recent past. Like actors in a play and they they drink beer afterwards and cut the deals?

I applaud them all.

Back during the O'Reilly interview Senator Obama thought it would be a bad idea to raise taxes during a recession.
