They're not going to come to her defense. I wouldn't call her that name, but she is quite ignorant.

Okay Elena you said you needed some help with politics; please tell me what Sarah Palin has said or did that makes you think she is ignorant. I'm willing to bet you that most of what you think she said, she didn't say. I'm not talking about policy decisions because that is always debatable. This is not trying to embarrass you but I want to point out how bias the media has become and to not take their word for anything.

You're not going to embarrass me. I fully admit to not knowing everything about politics, but I do try to learn enough to form opinions of the people who claim they know what's best for the country. That's just what my statement is.......my opinion.

Have you seen any of her interviews? Did you see her "video" after the AZ shooting? Need I say more?

We can't speak about policies because she has no experience. She was a Gov. for less than two years, then she quit. She's money hungry, she lacks experience in politics period. Its always about her.

MsElena's right. None of the feminists are going to be upset about Maher. The good thing is that everyone know Maher is an idiot. Palin is overrated and inexperienced, but is not an idiot.

Bill Maher used to be funny before he started thinking anyone cared about his opinion.

It is called propaganda: the method is get on the bandwagon. Say something enough and pick on a person enough and enough people will believe the lies. Whoever would really believe that Sarah Palin was that uninformed that she just now heard about what happened in Japan. This is not even a good joke, just a mean one. Only a fool would believe that the tear down by a comic is true.

The same thing was used on "Funk" here in KCMO. He was run out of office by the KC Star. He was perhaps the greatest thing that has happened to KC because he saved a lot of money and got the financial house in order with a lot of fight. Now it is back to the same old political games. At least the guy tried, and he did a lot of good. He did upset a lot of the interest groups who have had their hands in the till at City Hall.

Well, you don quite have your "facts" correct. Just make up a bunch of stuff and maybe a weak minded person will believe your opinion. But then opinions are like -------, everyone has one. An uninformed opinion is less than worthless, the stench is worse than bad.

Experience? What experience did Obama have? Look at the history, (get your facts straight) Palin has had much more experience in government than Obama, and I don't even care for her for other reasons. But those reasons are my own, and I will not confuse then here.

JR,

Exactly what facts did I state that were wrong? I didn't state any facts, just my opinions. What was it that I made up? Was she not Gov. for less than two years? Did she not quit that job? Is she not money hungry?

Since when does being a mayor for a couple years of a town that has a population of 11,000 and being Gov. for less than two years give her more experience than a person such as Obama who was a Sen.? I never said that Obama had more experience than Palin, I just said that Palin was inexperienced.

If Palin has had much more experience than Obama, then the GOP would've been pushing her out in the limelight a lot more. They would've been grooming her since they lost in 2008. The GOP should've started grooming her more back then because she had a huge following and honestly, if that had happened.....she could've had the Rep nomination in 2012. Instead, they seem to be pulling away from her.

My opinions are not uninformed, my opinions are worth something to me and maybe others. Just because your opinion differs from mine doesn't mean their worthless or the stench is worse. Whatever you wrote.

I dispise people who have a holier than thou opinion of themselves when it comes to politics just because people have different views.

JR, Exactly who made you judge and jury on the value of another's "informed" opinions? Your implication that Ms. Elena's opinions are worthless and their stench is worse then bad...really??? Out of all your posted "opinions" that I disagree with, this one attacking Ms. Elena's views as worthless shows your true character.

Btw, Ms. Elena has proven she needs no one to come to her defense, she is quite capable of expressing herself...I just have always despised bullies.

In response to Maher saying Palin is a "stupid twat".... Let's see, if he called Donald Trump an "arrogant prick" would there be an outrage from all the millionares with bad hair? Both are just people on reality shows who have put themselves in the public arena and have profited from that exposure, being critisized seems to me part of the cost.

If one watched the entire show, Maher also said the "Democrats are pussies" where is the outrage from all the Dems?

"Thats all I've got to say about that".

Not trying to tactless but Elena you have said very little about why you think Palin is ignorant. You cite a couple of facts but those facts by themselves (being Mayor and Governor) would tend to disprove your assumptions. An ignorant person could not be elected to office if they were right. Since you brought up Obama let's look at his qualifications in 2008.
Executive experience: Palin-6 years as Mayor, 2 years as Governor, Chairperson of the Alaska Gas and Oil Board.
Obama-no executive experience.
Education: Palin-B.A. in Journalism,
Obama-B.A. in Political Science, J.D. in Law.
Work experience: Palin-Sportscaster TV, sportsreporter newspaper, small business person with husband, city councilperson.
Obama-1 year with Business International Corp. interviewing businesspeople and creating reports, 1 year with New York Public Interest Research Group, 3 years as a community activist for Developing Communities Project in Chicago, Law school instructor and lecturer, community activist again, State Senator 7 years, US Senator announced his plans to run for president 163 days after taking office. Afterwards missed 91% of the votes in the Senate.
Family: Palin-Husband Todd married in 1988, two sisters, one brother, five children, one grandchild. Father was a teacher and coach, mother was a secretary.
Obama-Wife Michelle Robinson married in 1992 by Reverend Wright, six half siblings from three other wives of father, two daughters, father was socialist government operative in Kenya, married to African woman invalidated marriage to Ann Dunham due to bigamy, Ann Dunham anthropologist, step father Lolo Soetoro of Indonesia, half sister by step father.
Yes, I know it is a lot of information but the point is what in all that suggests ignorance? You see I have an opinion as well but it is built on a number of books and other sources of information.
So I go back to my original question; what makes you think she is ignorant. Please be specific (resigning from a position hardly shows ignorance).

JG,

Its clear that you're no fan of Obama and what you wrote above makes it even more clearer.

Why does everything need to be cited for you when someone makes a post or states their opinions?

With that said.....

Palin doesn't support abortions even in the case of incest or rape.
Palin doesn't believe that polar bears should be on the endangered species list.
Palin continued to lie about her trips over to Iraq when in fact, she's never been there.
Palin wore a Star of David necklace and claimed she had flags of Israel all over her house and office? Really? c'mon.
Palin said that her 1st ammendment rights were threatened by reports of negative campaigning? (This is the best one to prove my point) Yes, its true. It was said during an interview to a conservative talk radio show WMAL-AM.
Palin used her twitter/facebook to give a critique of Obama's budget. Which is great, but only if she had used the correct figure to base her "critique" off of.
Palin told Israel to stop apologizing so much? Seriously?

Its truly ignorant to try to tell a woman what she can do with her body. Especially in cases of rape or incest. Obviously she didn't do her homework to find out just how damaging on a psychological level this could be to a woman.
