Default Radiation levels are rising and people can't get close to the pile...

I keep hearing that the Japanese can't get any water to the reactor vessel because of radiation levels. You know, we never get any reports of what the radiation level is in RADs. That is the unit that has to do with the effects of radiation on living tissue and the most important right now.

Still back to the problem; why haven't the Mythbusters been called in? They can build a robot police car or a robot snow plow. Don't you think they could adapt a fire truck in a few hours to get water on the core? So contact the White House and the Learning Channel and tell them to send Adam, Jamie, Torie, Grant, and I think the welder chick is more appropriate than Kari.

Hmmm...I think if there were any possibility of using robots, we should call on a nation that pioneered robot manufacturing, and still leads the world in robot technology....the Japanese!

I don't have much experience with nuke power plants recently destroyed by earthquakes and tsunamis and hydrogen explosions...but the little I do know about the subject leads me to remember a saying used in the construction industry: "Its bigger than the both of us." i.e. they probably couldn't get a truck of any kind within 200 feet of the core, with all the rubble in the way.

According to Ann Coulter, Radiation is good for you.

I say we all chip in to buy Galt a plane ticket to Japan so he can check this theory out.

I don't eat fish and what, exactly, did Ann Coulter say that I didn't hear or are you just lying to be part of the clique?

The path for iodine 131 into humans in milk. Cows eat the grass covered in fallout and produce poison milk.

My theory is that seafood will get poisoned by fallout over the Pacific. That could be an exposure pathway for iodine 131 or cesium 137. I hope I'm wrong.

Why does all these unnecessary panic remind me of 1975? That's right, above ground nuclear testing by the Chinese created cloud of nuclear fallout that was crossing the Pacific to the United States. People went into a panic. The cloud arrived in the local area the day of a snow storm. Oh, the weathermen had a field day with that. I had some knowledge of radiation since I was heading to naval nuclear power school. I was out playing in the snow to prove the point. At this point in time, this is much ado about very little.

How many tons of uranium are at the Japanese nuclear facility, huh? Much ado about much.

As with most of the rest of your posts, Longer, I can confidently assure you that you are wrong. Feel better now?

I'm 150% right about the milk. My seafood theory is just a theory. Time will tell what long term exposure levels in Japan are.
