It is obvious that many wish the war to continue at any cost because a peaceful solution would be, in the eyes of voters, a win for Trump.

TDS truly runs that deep.

Let's see how things progress for Trump.
At least he's trying in Ukraine. Pursuing Biden's strategy of fighting to the last Ukrainian doesn't make a lot of sense IMHO.

We should have given Ukraine everything and anything is the early days to let them beat Russia (when Wagner was strong) back on their asses. It was a promise we made, and thanks to weak leadership failed to live up to. Maybe Germany will help Poland rapidly develop nukes and they'll let Ukraine "borrow" some to protect their territory. Nobody wants the loss of life that comes with war, but thinking any "agreement" with Pootin is more than just a chance to re-arm and re-group is the type of deal a guy who could bankrupt casinos would buy into.

This would have led to Putin nuking Ukraine.

No cease fire agreement

Russia rejects US peace plan. Putin call for a draft and actively attacking Ukraine. Russia questioning Ukraine right to exist as an independent state.

Trump in disarray by not being able to bully his way and get agreement on his terms.

Of course he doesn’t know. He’s just reporting what people are telling him.

What makes you think that it’s not the Ukrainian strategy? Isn’t it up to the Ukrainians to decide when to quit the war. Biden’s strategy was to support Ukraine against an invading force. Trump’s strategy tries to take the choice away from the Ukrainian people.

I don’t believe the Ukrainians are going to give up as long as they still have the support of the European Union.

Putin is not giving up and neither are the Ukrainians.

This ceasefire agreement is doomed to failure.

The MAGA argument is now endless dead bodies.

Putin has been invading Ukraine since 2014. What makes anyone think he is going to stop, even after a cease fire agreement, if ever, is made ?

"U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio admitted that peace talks may be abandoned within days."
