Default Trumpflation Tracker

https://www.bls.gov/cpi/

CPI showed a .5% increase in prices for the month of January. Now I know Trumps will claim that Trump was only president from the 20 th forward. So let’s get some ground rules. We won’t blame him for anything prior to January 20, 2025, but no credit can be attributed to him for anything prior to that date as well. No more of the Trump effect bullshit from November to January either.

Going forward we can fairly measure the good and bad from January 20, 2025 forward. Next CPI will be March 12, so a couple weeks from now. We will see whether the CPI and prices start to go down rather than increasing due to Trump’s leadership from the White House and economic policies.

Try 6 months. The U.S. economy is large and doesn't turn on a dime. It is hard to put and exact time on things but it usually takes 3 to 6 months for new policies to be measured.

Consumer confidence is down 5 percent Jan to Feb. people aren't waiting 6 months. Also, it's actually decreased since July - during Biden's term. Folks not having a positive outlook on the economy.

It’s been exactly one month.

I would give President Trump at least 6 months to turn around the totally fucked up situation the Democrats left.

Notice I did not say Biden. I doubt anybody believes Biden made any decisions for the last 3 years of his term.

Once the tariffs kick in it would seem like CPI should increase. It seems like people are expecting prices to go up rather than down as that seems to be the sentiment and trend. With 1 Trillion dollars having to be borrowed every 100 days I wouldn't expect things to turn around.

He wasn't worried about inflation under biden.

He said he was doing great...I guess now in the last few weeks things are going bad for him. Hell he said in the first couple of weeks of Trumps presidency why haven't prices fallen...so much for his knowledge of economics.

I guess it just depends on who is in charge.

On a white board. Yeah, much more so than someone that only reads it for politics.

Trump announced last night that prices were falling. Including gasoline.

It makes you earn the title Valued Poster.

Otherwise, regardless that "it's hard", give time, once something happens, etc. The melange one promised an immediate change for the better.

Just another promise made, promise broke.

*I* would assume if consumers had confidence in Fearless Leader that it would show in spending. Hmmm.

What gets me is all these 'tards screaming about spending when diaper Don added 25% of the national debt in his first term. He's broke in his personal life and doing the same to the country. And before any soggy crackers start talking about how rich he is....let all his debts get called today and you'll find out that his assets fall far short of what he actually owes. He's borrowing himself into the grave

Dow Jones Today: Stocks Extend Declines, Putting Dow on Pace for Worst Week Since October

U.S. stocks are falling sharply Friday after reports showed worries about President Donald Trump’s policies may be hitting the U.S. economy.

An what does Trump have to say now ?

"Inflation is not my fault"..........but Trump said he would lower prices
"Interest rates need to be lowered".........but that will make things worse and the FED is independent

It is cleat Trump has no clue what he is talking about.
