Their MO is getting the money up front and keeping the money until the delivery which is mostly over a month from ordering online to delivery.
They only have one person doing customer service, so their customer service sucks big time.
Once I receive my 627, I will post truthful reviews of their business and will never do business with them again, no matter what kind of deals they offer.

Half the stuff they list is not in stock
I mean a lot of the online folks do that
but this place is the worst
even if it shows in stock online you call them and they don't have it
at least I didn't take them up on their offer to order it
thanks for warning people about that!
I'm back to just using the local dealers near where I live
the problem is that I travel so much though

I like ammoseek dot com. It prioritizes it's listings by price and availability. You can then select a retailer from the list. Never had an issue.
Not everything is available for a reasonable price at my local gun shops. Especially the odd ball stuff like 9mm rimfire, 9mm Makarov, .30 carbine and some of the Weatherby calibers, etc.

Good post Mikey,
A decent weapons shop should be able to get anything.
Sometimes a higher level ATF license is needed.
Sometimes manufacturers want shops that can sell larger quantities of not frequently bought ammo.
Anyway, if your local shop can't get something, find another shop.
Hence Mikey has an excellent post.
My shop can get anything, and he's a gunsmith also. I made a deal with him so I do get good pricing on anything forever.
For smithing, the only work he's done for me is heavy cleaning on used items, and a few trigger assemblies.
I will admit that a shop out in the boondocks is easily a different service level than a city shop where they just want to hear the register ring.

Me too. The places with the best prices are fastammo.com, vizardsguns.com, and ammoasap.com. Before completing your orders, make sure the postage and handling isn't way too much.
Forget dackoutdoors.com. Don't even think of using them.
https://ammoseek.com/handgun-ammo this is the page I start from, then work from there.

Honestly Sir why don't you just find a gun enthusiasts website to talk about guns on. I've never seen a guy in my life who doesn't add any value here I want yet open a thread about guns. News flash. This is Texas. We all got guns. I got like 30. Carry pistol is a Glock 19/4. Unchambered rounds. You see me, it's on me. Then I always have an AR in the trunk at all times. My thought process is I can get my way out the door with 15 rounds. As long as I can get to my car and let loose. Bottom line guns are not toys. Be responsible. Use your brain. Try to ease tensions. I do all that , plead with you to leave me alone with my hand tucked in that Glock. You charge, I'm killing you. I don't fight anymore. Too old . I'm not just shooting once. I'm unloading in your ass because I pleaded with you to leave me alone, you charge. Time to die. No sympathy. I don't pull weapons out as show. Once I pull it out someone is dying. Me or you(gunfight). But I'm not living my whole life worrying about you seeking revenge. Gun comes out I'm unloading at least 5 hollow points in your ass. And I'm the nicest guy you'll ever meet. Don't threaten me or make me feel unsafe. Real simple

Well the oracle speaks and provides proof of not understanding a sandbox thread that marksmen socialize on.

I guess it's a difference in culture. I talk about zydeco, BBQ, our children, Q dogs( my frat). Strange pussy. Good food. Etc. I gave my carry pistol. Got 30 guns and a boatload of ammunition. I would rather not have a conversation about guns but again if you fuck with me where I feel threatened I'm unloading on your ass. Guys guns are only as worth as the ammunition. I shoot to kill someone, not to have target practice. Best rounds are tumble rounds. They hit the body, stop, and tumble down. Basically fucking up every internal organ. That person will either die by impact or bleed to death internally. My mindset once I shoot you is I want you dead. That's my contribution to guns

Responsible gun owners have to have hollow points or tumble rounds. I want to destroy the person I shoot. Him or her. I don't want the round exiting that person body and hitting anyone else I didn't mean to kill.

Stop Hakuna.
You sound worse than Mark Zuckerburg telling Joe Rogan that he's a bow hunter.

Getting back to weapons shops (as the multihandles have finally been dealt with).
Basic gunsmith repairs fall under a Basic ATF dealer license.
Manufacturing ammo or modifying weapons needs a manufacturing license and there's two levels of this.
My smith has the advanced and one of the things he does for us, other than gun work, is taking out tree stumps with a bang.
(cheaper than blowing out hydraulic seals on a dozer).
Anyway, my point being is that a good smithy is worth whatever he charges.

Exactly! However some of the good ones come with things other than a price, wait times. When he tells you that you don't need to call him to check on it, he'll call you, don't expect a call for 6+ months, etc. it can get frustrating.
Fortunately in the Houston area, we have a few quality folks that can handle most anything.
