i don't.

This is some brilliant insight on your posting history.

So, I would assume that faux outrage about the cost of things that you link to joey really don't mean anything to your nicely insulated fiscal position.

Thanks for the contribution.

Ah. The Melania Factor.

Wonder what would have happened if she made cow eyes for the Chinese Premier?

What could motivate Trump to put a 25% tariff on Canada? More cash coming into the coffers. Canada, Mexico, and China will see that as their justification for retaliating and jacking up the prices on their own populations. Which is what the people in charge want. Humanity will pay the price and get fucked hard in the process.

Canada needs to close their border to keep people and drugs out. Drugs are getting into Canada, usually by ship and there's no enforcement on the Canadian border, no fence, nothing. It's an easy trip. Now is the first time that I remember that anyone has told Canada to enforce their border.

Mexico needs to do more work at closing their border and the fentanyl production. Yea, sort of a long game, that may see some prices increase in the short term.

When we use our own energy and more oil supply on the global market, the price of diesel will come down. Which means everything else will come down. Diesel and trucks are so interwoven in the economy, a single product is trucked from raw material to finished product several times.

That will cause everything to maybe not go down immediately, but at least stabilize.

When your income tax is cut or even eliminated like they're talking, you won't notice the tariffs.

The incentive to build stuff in America will be HUGE. Lower corporate tax rate than anywhere in the world (Ireland is 15% and companies moved there, google, etc...) AND bypass tariffs. No brainer for companies to move here.

Since the US buys so much crap, companies want to sell here no matter the hurdle or hoops they have to jump through.

Some of you are posting clueless comments.

What drugs comes down from Canada is less than 2% that enters the US per the Canadian govt and they are already working with the US on all sorts of security issues.

And illegal immigration going north into Canada from the US is quite substantially more than any that comes south.

Btw, Canada has blacklisted Kentucky whisky

Here's one Canadian post from a few weeks ago.
