One other thing coach T. Please trade fing Pickens.
I’d rather loose without that disgusting thing, enough of having to watch a game to see what selfish thing he is going to do next, that’s what Steeler games have become.

Thank you

14 of your 18 seasons have ended without a playoff victory. How much more plain is that about Your standard.
... Reckon "The Standard" was set with Noll and his players
and continued with Cowher and his players.
Tomlin was able to surely continue "The Standard" with
Cowher's players. ----- Once those players were gone
then "The Standard" was gone! ... GONE for 14 Years. ...

Tomlin actually has a better resumé than Cowher did, and no, he didn't win a Super Bowl and make it to another one because of "Cowher's players". That's the biggest lie in Pittsburgh sports history.

... Hmmmm... Really?

Tomlin won his Super Bowl final in his SECOND SEASON of
being coach/manager. ... Are you stating that there
weren't "Cowher players" on the team??

No. That's not what I'm saying. Of course there were Cowher's players on Tomlin's Super Bowl team.

But if it was all about the players, why didn't Cowher win more than one? Why did Cowher go 8-8 and miss the playoffs in his final season?

By the way, they weren't ALL Cowher's players on that team. Joey Porter and James Farrior went away, and Tomlin replaced them with Lawrence Timmons and Lamarr Woodley. Both were crucial to the success of that '08 defense (widely recognized as one of the best in NFL history).

Both Woodley and Timmons had double-digit sacks that year. Their acquisition cannot be overlooked. Also, Rashard Mendenhall (another Tomlin pick) was leading the NFL in rushing when he got hurt that year.

Furthermore, Tomlin made it to another Super Bowl two years later with even fewer of Cowher's players.

Bottom line: Cowher and Tomlin have nearly identical resumés and it could be argued that Tomlin has the edge. Both were subject to humiliation in multiple playoffs, both had two SB appearances and one SB win. Tomlin has the better overall win percentage.

Because AGAIN, Ben was in a near fatal motorcycle accident 2 months before Cowhers last season started and an appendectomy at the beginning of the season. You know this, but it doesn’t fit your nauseating take on Tomlin.
While Cowher took our team to a Super Bowl with Neil fucking OdOnnell, he couldn’t with an underweight and not ready Ben.

I respect Cowher, he had the self confidence to step away knowing he’d be successful elsewhere. Tomlin on the other hand, will need to be kicked out.

Just as I predicted, a blowout.

I know Rooney won't do this but this is what I think needs done.

Tell Tomlin a new coaching staff is going to be hired and he is not to interfere in the coordinators duties. I know he will never accept this which brings me to what I really want. Tell him he can step down or waive his no trade clause.

Trade Watt, Fitzpatrick & Pickens. Ask Heyward if he wants to stay to mentor the young D lineman we plan to draft or he can be granted his release.

With the quantity of draft picks rebuild the d line, draft CB's WR's and RB. Take a flyer on a day 3 QB this year and bring in another mid level vet.

The plan being to tank next year while the young guys develop and be in position to draft a franchise QB in 2026.

This is not blaming Tomlin for injury, it's blaming him for Jones's slow development.

Saying Tomlin only won because of Cowher's players is bullshit. It's factually incorrect - you must have glossed over my explanation of why it's not true, and how they weren't all Cowher's players - but you do you. We'll agree to disagree.

You’re generalizing my statements again and wrong again.

But yes…we will never agree on Tomlin.

tomlin won his super bowl with two great coordinators that were there before him

he also in fact won that super bowl with mostly cohwers players that were drafted before him.....these are facts that cant be denied

whether you think tomlin is a great coach, good coach or bad coach doesnt really matter

the fact is noll was one of the greatest coaches that ever was in the nfl
thats a fact......but it was time for him to leave

cowher was a good coach but, it was time for him to leave

tomlin, i rate as a great motivator and a good, not great coach. his decisions on coordinators isnt good

there comes a time no matter how you rate them, to change.........its time

Agreed….other than I would say his hiring decisions on coordinators and position coaches has been a complete failure.
Not having a semblance of a coaching tree, not any….is almost hard to do for as long as he’s been around.
Funny how the league line is he’s a great coach yet nobody wants anything to do with his coaching staff.
I’d love to see Tomlin coach another team, but he nor Rooney has the balls.

... Sorry to say it, mates... And it surely pains me to do it.

But - Tomlin is hurting the "Steelers" brand.
NO play-off wins in EIGHT (8) years... And onley TWO (2) seasons
with a play-off win in the last 14 years. ...

And this Tomlin bloke is considoured a "Hall of Fame" Coach??
He needs to move on - before he damages the Steelers brand completely.

They need a qb that can move around, Wilson is just too old. IMO they should have never taken Fields out for the geriatric guy. Maybe they’d have lost a few more games but at least they’d be moving towards a more dynamic offense. This run run incomplete punt shit is too predictable. Fields is a better guy to QB a run and shoot offense. The Steelers are stuck in the 70s and will never compete with the more mobile teams until they break that mold.
