Not a great politician by presence or presentation, but a man who had morals and was virtuous. He was the first to get somewhere with the Arabs and Israelis. He won the peace prize and helped ppl without need to be braggart or boasting. He even deregulated airlines and the beer industry. A good one has passed. God speed Jimmy.

Presidents are rarely remembered for the good they did, but always for the bad.

Carter was a fine President……..
Except for that hostage thing
Except for 16 % interest rates
Except for double digit unemployment
Except for run away inflation.
Except for “malaise”
Except for ……..feel free to add.

Jimmy Carter was a fine, decent man. He was also proof that being a fine decent man can sometimes not translate into being an affective President.

News is Biden is going to give one of the Eulogies.

Imagine, one the most lying, corrupt pieces of shit to ever hold the office giving a eulogy to one of the most decent.

... Hey Mates - what's with all the negativity when it comes to
President Biden showing respect for former President Carter.

Please be a bit more reserved in your criticism.

It's GRAND the Biden wants to have a Federal Hoiday for Carter.
on 7 January. ... It's a nice gesture. ...

... However, President Trump also weighed in - and surely believes
a National Holiday should be named for President Joe Biden.

And Trump has selected the Perfect date on which to honour Joe:
April First! ... (1 April) .... Rather fitting! ... ...

Why not? Let's play the Death Game!

Yes, Waco . . .

RIP President Yimmy.

Carter was too moral to be a good president but he is a good man. unlikely any of these passengers (Carter could easily take a private plane as his net worth is a reported 10 million) will ever get to greet a former president like this if they live to be 98.

Carter could easily be worth 100 million today if he wanted to be.

This fine, decent man definitely translated being an affective President with his actions that would not be recognized during his administration but effects long after leaving.
