Why not? If you don’t give AF about one illegal activity because letting it happen will save you money, it’s perfectly valid to probe how much criminality you’re willing to accept as a means to that end.

@HD. I didn’t say or imply anything about undocumented workers in the rape analogy, just your run of the mill rapist. If Tommy is willing to look the other way on immigration law to save money on groceries, what else is he willing to look the other way for?

Then be on the lookout for 3rd cousin Sal.

I'm still concerned about that time you jaywalked and got away with it, J. It might be deportable.

First off, if we're talking mixed status... where are we sending them all back to when some of them are from here?

And second, there's choice and an illusion of choice.

You're being sold vaporware.
. He couldn’t forcefully deport citizens if he wanted to. Would that end up being a result? I’m sure it will in some cases. I think he’s been pretty clear, as has Homan, as to what happens in a blended immigration status family. Cherrypicking lines that muddy the water won’t change that.

Do you think he can end birthright citizenship on Day 1? Can we agree that's not within his power?
. I don’t know, I’m not a lawyer.

If the country were to go that direction, does your birth certificate address the citizenship of your parents?
Don’t know that one either. Maybe it should, but doesn’t seem to be relevant either way.

He deported around 70 citizens from 2016 to 2021. Shouldn't have. Did.

He can't.

It's not part of your BC. Not shocked you don't get the relevance in regards to birthright citizenship

No. I made a separate thread to address this ridiculous bullshit.

Meet me there. Should be enlightening.

Hadda Google that because it sounded a bit crazy, but can confirm it’s true and possibly a low number. It doesn’t really have any bearing in this case because it wasn’t done on purpose. The government fucks up a lot, so it’s not surprising things like that would happen. It changes nothing though. We still have armed forces even though the number of men lost to friendly fire is incalculable, especially in WW1. That didn’t stop us from fighting WW2. Shit happens, even more so when bureaucrats are running the show.

Yeah, I read it. You didn’t answer the question there either.

Your argument is intended to gin up sympathy for people who came here illegally and got into relationships with people who didn’t. Tough luck. They should’ve thought about the consequences of putting down roots in a country they entered illegally before they did so, and the possibility that the law would eventually catch up with them.

So, if one of your children or grandchildren marry and have a child with an illegal immigrant, would you be willing to be deported with them? Because you're family, right?

Or would you be fine with your great/grandchild being deported to a country they've never been to, where they speak a language that they can't?

You surely sound like you're in favor of this... because it doesn't effect you.

If they were married they’d be an adult. I’d certainly have warned them off of marrying an illegal immigrant in the first place, but if they ignored that warning then they’d be responsible for the consequences. That’s how it works for adults, they make their own decisions.

This isn’t a valid question, there’s too many variables. If their mom and dad had to move, then yes, the kids should go with them imo.

I was talking about a single family (mother, father, kids). If the mother or father is in the country illegally and ends up being deported then yes, I’d assume the rest of the family would go with them. They wouldn’t have to if they value living in the US more than their spouse, but I definitely would. The kids wouldn’t have an option because they’re kids, they do what mom and dad say.

Because you're not asking questions that reside in reality. Your starting with a false premise and expecting me to address something you just made up - as if it were true. No, thanks.

The irony of you caring about certain laws, while not caring at all about others, though, is still hilarious.

While I applaud your efforts, I hope you're not expecting an answer from the party of "rules for thee, but not for me". This is where they either change the subject or just ignore any further questions.

But, well done, Ona. I'll mark you down for a checkmate.

Point is, you're going to expect that to increase... bigly. It's not a "he can't" when "he did" and the entire time shit like this is the focus he's not prioritizing the baddest hombres.

We still need more immigration judges, more USCIS staff, more CBP agents, more ICE agents. More funding. More training. More consular staff.

And that's all needed even if the plan is to declare an emergency and start Operation Roundup and Deport and use the military or try to force local LEO's to help.

Deportation isn't voluntary. So let's remember that when Homan says that mixed status families can be deported together he's not bringing up that it's illegal to deport a U.S. citizen. You think he's being clear. He's not. There's not really a choice with deportation. If he's trying to talk about self-deportation that's not even a thing. So that's not clear. And families who choose to follow a loved one abroad aren't being deported. They're traveling.

Their messages are a mess of contrived bullshit that you're saying is clear. Which tells me what I need to know about how wwll you're tracking the issue
