Projection. This thread is about Trump deporting citizens. I'm sorry you can't put it all together, but trying to poke me ain't gonna get you anywhere
You think that removes the magnet. It doesn't. The kid is still a U.S. citizen and that's valuable. Do you know why?

It's a thread about deportations, not limited to citizens. You know full well those at the top of the deportation list will be non-citizens.

Lol. Your schtick is getting old and stale, Gristle.
Your constant ducking and deflecting only betrays the fact that YOU can't put it all together.

Of course US citizenship is valuable. That's why pregnant women come here from every corner of the globe to pop their babies out on US soil. What's your point?

You can't even see what's going on, Lusty. Read up on Miller's comments from Sep 2020 and compare to his recent ones.
You'll begin tp scratch the surface for what's coming. It's across the board immigration pain. Legal and illegal.
As for birthright citizenship you didn't answer why it's valuable. Walk us through it. We're dying to hear the superior intellect take. Trembling with anticipation

Sorry, I don't follow Stephen Miller's every utterance. Why don't you furnish a link or two and explain "what's going on"?

Hmm... what kind of "pain"? Laken Riley pain? Rachel Morin pain? Jocelyn Nungaray pain? That kind of pain? Please elaborate.

Why do you need someone to explain to you what's obvious to every anchor baby mom we let in? Do you have a point? If so, please make it.
|
Btw you never answered my questions:
1) Do you support letting pregnant women come in (legally or illegally) to give birth in the US to anchor babies?
2) Are there any circumstances where you think deportation is justified? Please be specific.

A Teachable Moment
Current polls on the issue of mass deportation are remarkable, compared to a few years ago.
62% in favor... why do think that is, Gristle?
Here's a "breadcrumb" to help you "connect the dots"!

I don't follow his every utterance either, but you can Google it easily instead of being fed lines and links. I told you, you need to step it up. Maybe start with 2% of his utterances
Immigration pain may include, increased filing fees, processing times, denial rates for approvable cases, overburdened and underfunded USCIS manpower being diverted to other tasks, further delays of tourism visas that drive local economies, labor shortages in critical industries, piles of time and money spent crowding the dockets and much, much, much more. Immigration will be harder across the board, and it's certainly no picnic today. Mass deportations will suck up funding, time and resources disproportionate to the benefit.
I can also tell that when you use anchor babies you're not looking for serious discussion because that's not what makes U.S. citizenship valuable and why your magnet removal logic is wrong.
If you'd stop trying to argue where you think I'm going you'd see the bigger picture. Think long term without falling into the anchor baby and chain migration traps. You're accounting for about 5% of the puzzle.
Step back and play the game, not the man. It's not about the superior intellect (mine). It's about the feasibility of the proposals and most importantly... timing.
He doesn't have 4 years. Or 8 or 12. The case has to become tangible positive reality in less than 2 years.

If someone comes in illegally and has a kid, who is then classified as a citizen, there aren’t many options. Toss the entire family, toss the family less the kid (what happens to the kid?) or let everyone stay. Option 1 is the only sensible choice.

And what if the illegal had a child with a citizen?
Do we split the family apart, send the illegal parent and their illegal child away? Or do we also revoke the citizenship of the citizen parent and deport them, too?
What if the child is older, but still a minor? Should they be deported to a country they've never been to, that they don't have citizenship for, that they don't speak the language of?

Ona is connecting some dots. The web begins to grow.
We're now talking about naturalized citizens as well as people whose parents (or adoptive parents) are citizens by either birth or naturalization. Do we have room to consider foreign-born U.S. citizens?

The citizen parent can go or stay, up to them. The intricacies of all this aren’t the American worker’s problem. If a person came into the country illegally, working out the details of whatever relationship issues they’ve created while here, before they’re sent back to wherever they came from, is up to them.

“It depends on the family,” Trump said, adding later: “If they come here illegally but their family is here legally, then the family has a choice. The person that came in illegally can go out, or they can all go out together.”

Simple.

He's playing coy and talking out of both sides of his mouth.
He should just say he's going to revert to family separation for mixed status. That's the simplest way to say it.
Easier to sell to people when you package it as a choice without the context

I know trump people don't give a flying fuck about anything in the U.S. Constitution, except for their wild misinterpretation of the 2nd Amendment, but they don't get to cherrypick these things. The POTUS pledges an oath to uphold the Constitution, the whole Constitution. Including the 14th Amendment.
