Well, just to clarify what I meant… I was agreeing with UC regarding the fact that the Asian ladies put in the extra effort to please clients cause if they don’t, they fear being sent back home which is not what they want. Not to mention, most Asian women are submissive by nature, so pleasing is what they generally enjoy.

Interesting thread. How are other parts of the US doing with the availability of non-asians? Although unemployment is low participation rate is still lower the pre-pandemic levels. The rate is currently about equal to early 1980s levels. A steady decline from about 2000 to 2015 was attributed to baby boomers retirement and leaving the work force. From about 2015 a slow increase was taking place until the pandemic. Where are people getting there money? Ask anyone in food service how easy is it to find workers? Until we have a recovery in participation rate service will continue to be spotty. I dont think Canada has these problems but maybe someone with knowledge can comment.

2. Bad ones got thrown in the slammer, or got a pine box
3. Some moved out of the area
4. Some just said fuckit and quit

Fair enough and also can agree with UC but know a few who go back home to Asia once or twice a year to visit family because they miss them, then they return here. They can do this since they are doing quite well here.

In the south, particularly Texas, there's a heavy preponderance of Hispanic/Cuban that match the quantity of Asians.

Depending upon visa requirements, they need to leave and come back to start the clock again on a tourist, school, or other temporary visa timeline. I signed temporary work visa applications for hotels maids to the point I lost count. At one place we had a dozen or so gals, all from one large extended family. Promoted the eldest aunt to supervisor, she got a green card, and ended up with no issues at all with maids for over a year.
