Pot kettle.

Glad Biden is taking this step.
This political fighting must end. This is a step so we can govern.

No comparison. Trump was dragged through the courts for drawing breath, let’s not have a double standard. If people have done nothing wrong they don’t need pardons, they can have their day in court to prove themselves innocent if accused. .

Two wrongs don't make a right.

If we've learned anything from Alvin Bragg and Leticia James, it's that you need to take threats about persecuting political enemies seriously. They campaigned on prosecuting Donald Trump and prosecute they did, even though their cases were largely meritless. Trump ended up with a 450 million judgement and 34 felony convictions.

Kash Patel and Donald Trump have also threatened political enemies. They should be taken seriously. If Biden can prevent meritless prosecutions, he should. It would be a lot better use of a pardon than what Biden did for his son on the tax charges.

And it's not just our tax dollars. The DOJ, even if it doesn't have a case, can bankrupt a defendant who chooses to fight.

I hope Biden is stupid enough to do it... Then we can haul all of them in front of Congress for hearings.. and in the highly likely event they refuse, we get to send them all to prison... because they will have no 5th amendment protections.

It may not make a right, but it sure as fuck teaches a lesson to the other side... do this and we will do it right back.

If the shoe was on the other foot, you KNOW they would continue to go after Trump...

Nope, the weaponization of the DOJ can only be reversed by making Democrats suffer jail time.

What about running the country?

Fixing education? Health care? Military?

Seems like some of y'all are hell bent on revenge and revenge only.

Sorry, guys. You'll have to get over it, just like we have to get over you getting over it.

LOLLING!

Pity he won’t pardon Trumpf. He belongs in jail for his crimes against this country.

And it’s obvious from all the outrage that the MAGAs only want revenge. Somebody musta called them names.

This move would deny them some of their pitchfork and torches moments.

Go Joe!

PS - Salty. The Supreme Court already approved this when they ruled in favor of complete presidential immunity. You can pull out your crying towel now. Of course your political insiders may want to share it with you. LOLLING!
... ... You'll see.

Wasn’t anyone here around during the late seventies? Does no one remember the findings of the church commission?

The revelation that Nixon had an enemies list, that he asked the IRS commissioner and the AG to investigate and prosecute his enemies for him?

By putting Patel in charge of the FBI isn’t that exactly the same thing except he’s doing it in the open and daring someone to stop him.

Doesn’t giving out preemptive pardons at least alleviate some of the damage that can result from this?

Yes, and it didn't happen because people in the IRS etc had ethics and integrity and nothing happened.

Since the Clinton's have been int he White House the double hasn't gotten worse over time so that Democrats in Washington DC don't follow the law or Constitution and Obama' IRS went after conservative groups.

Wasn't the Steve Bannon pardon, Trump's chief strategist, a blanket pardon ? He had not been indicted for any crimes at that point.

And the MAGAs justified it. By saying the political opposition may come after him in the future.

So.....now they are crying about possible "blanket pardons" ? Typical MAGA bs.
