I think you're wrong. The Gaetz maneuver was planned. Thats why it stunned everybody. Now Trump has made the RINOs in the Senate commit and Trump is going to bring forth the candidate he really wanted. I think its going to be Paxton.

Gaetz wants to run for FL governor by all accounts.. or perhaps a deal is in the works for him to replace Rubio in the Senate who was always squishy anyway. I think Rubio would be shit for SoS... considering all of the BS that State has been up to (think UKR color revolution)

Regardless, the RINOs in the Senate are on record now about what thye will accept... which means Paxton will look like a moderate in comparison making it difficult for them not to confirm after they confirmed the shitbird Garland.
