Obama is a good speaker. The year 2008 was perfect time for him to run for President. Bush43 was unpopular. Bush43 had invaded Iraq. Wall Street Banks had a meltdown, they lost all of their money on credit default swap bets that went sideways. These two things alone made it easy for Obama to beat the Republicans twice by 15 million votes.

Obama turned things around. The DJIA gained 12,000 points during his term in office. Obama & Tim Geitner bailed out 1,000 plus troubled assets with the passing of the Dodd/Frank Financial Reform bill. GM was one of those troubled assets that was saved. Thousands of assembly line workers got to stay on the job and not go on unemployment.

There was more than smoke and mirrors with Obama. The unemploymnt rate went from 10 to 4 percent before Obama left office. Last but not least, 40 million citizens in the individual health market got health insurance thru the passing of the ACA (Obamacare). Trump is still working on a concept of a plan to replace the ACA.

The democrats did not cheat in 2020. Because of the Pandemic, mail in voting and weekend voting was allowed. More democrats voted in 2020 than in 2016 or 2024. Your graph clearly shows that.

For the Democrats to win in 2028 they will have to get more registered democrats to vote. On your graph 2024 is the only election where more republicans voted than democrats.

I think most Dems don't care how bad she is. But more Independents couldn't stomach her. But then again, even Dems weren't particularly thrilled

Can verify. Millennial daughter and 3 friends all thought Trump is creepy and Kamala’s administration fucked up their finances. None voted.

Lack of mail in voting was a bigger reason why Harris lost in 2024.
