Default Good Hotels in San Jose that don't charge for guests

Thoughts on good hotels in San Jose area that do not charge for temporary guests. In 2019, the hotel I was staying charged 50 USD per guest and got expensive. I am willing to spend 100 USD per night. Suggestions on a good place with amenities is appreciated. What are the new hangout places. Do Delmar and Sportsmens lodge still exist??

Thanks
