Speaking of MAGA, here is a Trump foreshadowing.
The Republican nominee claims he coined the slogan at some point in 2014. He once even accused Ted Cruz of ripping him off when the Texas senator used the phrase in his own presidential campaign announcement. But Trump is not the first politician to use the phrase.
"The line of 'Make America great again,' the phrase, that was mine, I came up with it about a year ago, and I kept using it, and everybody's now using it, they are all loving it," Trump said in a 2015 interview with MyFox New York. "I don't know, I guess I should copyright it, maybe I have copyrighted it."
(That sounds familiar. Maybe he did declassify/copywrited it!!! without telling anyone else)
Perhaps the world will never know who first came up with the phrase, “Make America great again.” But one thing’s for sure: Whoever it was definitely should have copyrighted it."

Reagan used it in 1980 and Bill Clinton used it in 1991, per the linked article.
As far as copywriting the phrase goes, I believe it already is copywrited (not being an editor or an attorney and not knowing for sure, this is my opinion).
It is in a book title, a book by one of our all time favorite whack-jobs, republican Christine O'Donnell. You know, the witchy, anti-masturbation advocate who used to appear on "Politically Incorrect" as a guest on numerous occasions ( I hate to admit this but I grew up poor. If I didn't have a hard-on when I woke up, I didn't have anything to play with the rest of the day).
