McCarthy Used FTX Cash to Defeat Conservatives in 2022

McCarthy used left-wing oligarch money to fund a "secretive," anti-MAGA campaign within the GOP to protect his establishment speaker ambitions.

GOP establishment leader and Speaker of the House pretender, Kevin McCarthy used FTX cash to defeat conservatives in 2022, as the corrupt, globalist-tied crypto exchange funded the establishment wings of both parties. Now, McCarthy is feeling the heat, as conservative members of Congress, and the voters they’re accountable to, are demanding answers for the GOP’s failed “red wave,” which looked more like a pink trickle.

Throughout the midterm campaign season, GOP establishment leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) used his Congressional Leadership Fund political machine to inject massive amounts of cash into House races nationwide. In doing so, he targeted GOP primary races and even general elections vs. Democrats, in which America First conservatives, aligned with President Trump, were on the ballot.

Millions of dollars worth of the campaign money came straight from corrupt crypto exchange FTX and its top executives.

Along for the ride on McCarthy’s scheme were GOP lobbyist Jeff Miller, described as one of McCarthy’s “closest friends,” and Brian Walsh, an establishment strategist who McCarthy brought in to take down Madison Cawthorne after the young Representative blew the whistle on DC drug use and Capitol Hill pervert parties.

As they often do, over a month ahead of the 2022 primaries, The Washington Post, notoriously used for decades as a uni-party communication rag, openly admitted that McCarthy was using left-wing oligarch money to “sway” the GOP field in favor of his establishment agenda.

Conveniently for McCarthy and the establishment, the piece wasn’t published until after the last of the GOP’s nominating primaries had ended.

McCarthy, The Post reported in their September piece, led a “secretive,” anti-MAGA campaign within the GOP, using the party’s oligarch-funded pocketbook to “systematically weed out GOP candidates who could either cause McCarthy trouble if he becomes House speaker or jeopardizes GOP [establishment] victories.”

“Most” of the money (millions of dollars), reported The Post, “came from Ryan Salame, an executive at cryptocurrency exchange FTX.”

FTX, The Post explained, is “a major donor to both McCarthy’s own operation and to other groups backing McCarthy’s favored candidates.”

The Washington Post reported on McCarthy’s deep ties to the corrupt FTX crypto exchange, a key ally of the globalist elite wrecking America’s economy and setting the stage for a cashless society. Armed with corrupt FTX crypto money, Kevin McCarthy spent the 2022 midterms picking winners and losers, with his long-term speakership fantasies at the top of his agenda.

America First candidates and others who couldn’t be controlled by the establishment or, more importantly, couldn’t be bribed into supporting McCarthy for speaker, were sold down the river.

The seats they were fighting for were surrendered to Democrats, and conservatives “in the know” spoke of a “power-sharing” agreement between McCarthy and Democrat leadership, which now appears to be materializing.

In The Post’s reporting on McCarthy’s corrupt FTX campaign money scheme, several candidates were named as victims of McCarthy’s financial electioneering, including several who’ve been profiled by National File.

In Ohio, J.R. Majewski, who was in a heated battle against a 20-term Democrat, faced false allegations of stolen valor from the Associated Press, which appeared to be working hand-in-hand with the Democrat campaign to take down Majewski.

Even after National File publicly proved, with the help of Majewski and his fellow veterans, that he had in fact served in Afghanistan in support of the War on Terror, McCarthy and the establishment refused to support their own party’s nominee, ultimately leading to a Democrat win on election day.

McCarthy used similar tactics against other candidates he didn’t like throughout the primary and general election seasons, including notables like Jarome Bell, Laura Loomer, Anthony Sabatini, Joe Kent, and Carl Paladino.

“Everything is happening behind the scenes, but obviously that is what the money shows,” Sabatini, of Florida, said.

“They don’t want a conservative to win. They want a brainless, spineless robot.”

And it wasn’t just FTX. McCarthy was using money from elite banking and usury interests throughout the 2022 midterm campaign season, with groups like the National Association of Realtors shelling out even more money for McCarthy and his crew.

While McCarthy’s use of the GOP’s oligarch-funded purse strings to enforce compliance among legislators and candidates has been framed as an act of “unity” by him and others within GOP leadership, everyday voters and incoming legislators aren’t so sure about that and have become vocally critical of McCarthy’s machine-style politics.

Thanks Dilbert. Very interesting. I dug into this a little and don't think this was a case of left wing oligarchs financing anti-conservative or anti-Trump candidates in the primaries.

McCarthy's main PAC is the Congressional Leadership Fund (CLF). Somebody on one of the Sunday news shows today said McCarthy raised $500 million that was spent in this election cycle. I suspect a good part or most of that would have gone through the CLF. Anyway, I googled "Congressional Leadership Fund expenditures in Republican Primaries", and most of what I came up with were Democrats contributing lots of money to nominate pro-Trump candidates in purple districts and states. The CLF purportedly spent about $7 million in the primaries. The Democrats spend maybe 7X or more on pro-Trump candidates, that they figured would be easier to beat in the general election.

HOWEVER, people close to McCarthy apparently were running slush funds that made contributions in Republican primaries. You could say the goal was to gain Republican control of the House, by supporting candidates more like to win in general elections, but you could just as easily say the goal was to make McCarthy the next Speaker of the House. Apparently they also targeted Republicans who weren't likely to support McCarthy's bid for speakership.

And the most interesting slush fund was Results for NC PAC. This PAC spent a grand total of 1.7 million. Of that, they spent $236,000 to support Chuck Edwards, and $1.5 million to attack Madison Cawthorn an incumbent North Carolina Republican. And $700,000 of that came from Ryan Salame at FTX.

McCarthy was fed up with Cawthorn, who said on a podcast that fellow politicians invited him to an orgy. He also said he saw one of his fellow lawmakers doing something that we can't discuss here because of forum policies. There were some other red marks too. Apparently the whole Republican caucus including the Freedom Caucus was fed up with him.

Cawthorn ended up losing in the primary, and his Republican opponent, Edwards, went on to win the general election.

As to the bigger picture, the goal of McCarthy in the primaries undoubtedly was to make it more likely he'd be elected Speaker. And that meant getting more electable Republicans through to the general election, and also getting more candidates who would support his candidacy for speaker. Otherwise I don't think he gave a rat's ass whether or not a candidate was pro Trump or how conservative he was. For example, McCarthy seems to have developed a close relationship with Marjorie Taylor Greene, that resulted from her supporting him for Speaker.

This guy Ryan Salame at FTX is interesting. He contributed around $27 million to Republicans in the 2022 election cycle, not much less than the $40 million+ contributed by his boss, Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF). I suspect this wasn't some kind of organized conspiracy to sway both sides, but rather Salame actually ideologically favored Republicans.

Was he in on the FTX fraud? You can't think but he was, even though he supposedly wasn't in SBF's inner circle. Salame formerly worked as an accountant for Ernst & Young and had borrowed $55 million from FTX. This was small potatoes compared to SBF's $1 billion loan, and the roughly $500 million that FTX loaned Bankman Fried's partner. Still, I see this scandal as something Democrats should be more concerned about. SBF's donations seemed more targeted towards whitewashing FTX, while, again, I think Salame's were more ideological. Purportedly when Salame found out about the fraud, or perhaps more accurately found out that the press was reporting on the fraud, he threw up during the middle of a business meeting. That must have been reassuring to his colleagues, haha.

As to Majewski, he was blown away in the general election by his opponent, a 20-term Democratic representative, by 13 points. It appears that McCarthy and others made the right decision in not allocating more money towards his election after it came out that he lied about his military record. There's no sense putting money towards a losing cause.
