It would be hard to pick just one really ridiculous, offensive, hate mongering statement coming from the media but this one sticks out like a sore thumb.

Presidential historian Michael Beschloss painted America as being only a few days away from being in an authoritarian nightmare Wednesday on MSNBC's "All In with Chris Hayes."
President Biden gave a political speech that was condemned by Republicans and praised by liberals such as Beschloss who said it was "absolutely candid and absolutely right."
The historian warned that "six nights from now, we could all be discussing violence all over this country. There’s signs that may happen, may God forbid, that losers will be declared winners by fraudulent election officers, or secretary of state candidates, or governors, or state legislatures."

"We could be six days away from losing our rule of law, and losing a situation where we have elections that we all can rely on. You know, those are the foundation stones of a democracy," he claimed.

He then suggested that President Biden’s speech had a similar dire warning and if it was not heeded by the electorate, America would become a dystopian nightmare.

"Joe Biden is saying the same thing tonight, and a historian 50 years from now - if historians are allowed to write in this country and if they are still free publishing houses and a free press - which I’m not certain of - but if that is true, a historian will say what was at stake tonight and this week was the fact whether we will be a democracy in the future, whether our children will be arrested and conceivably killed," Beschloss claimed. No "fear mongering", hateful speech there, huh?

He warned, "We’re on the edge of a brutal authoritarian system, and it could be a week away."
People are hearing this and are pissed that Democrats continue to lie to Americans and have nothing but fear to peddle. "We have nothing to fear but fear itself. FDR

How is a Congress that might actually balance and check the executive (we are still talking about the relatively-spineless GOPe and its "leadership" afterall), a sign of a "brutal authoritarian system"? This is a situation of the Dems' own making that even the reversal of Roe v. Wade can't seem to prevent, save ballot stuffing on Election Night (and beyond).

America hating Dems going down like the Titantic?!?
I thought the America hating Dems were going down like Monica Lewinsky and the only open question to be answered after the midterms is whether they are planning to preserve their blue dress.Obviously, the whole embarrassment could be avoided if they just swallowed.

Reality is finally sinking in, huh? Yeah, there usually is an adjustment back to the "center" mid-terms, but this is looking to be one of the biggest blowouts in recent memory (save any chicanery with the ballots). This is a seismic shift back to the right.

Not exactly rocket science. We get two years to see what the winners will do with their new power and almost like clock work, the winner's go to far thinking they have a mandate when they get elected by less than 1%.

IMHO, if it wasn't for the SC decision on abortion and the Jan. 6th riot, Democrats would lose even bigger than what they will but they will lose not just on the economy but on crime and education which every single poll says, favors Republicans.

The House is a no brainer, it’s a done deal, if Fetterman gets elected I will disown that state. The man is not capable

What will all those anti-fracking Democrats do about Fetterman's latest proclamation that he is all in on fracking AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN? Do you just disregard his obvious flip flop? Will that make him a liar and will you vote for a liar just to keep from voting for someone from the other party? Or will you simply stay home and not vote because nobody is voting with you on what you consider is most important to your state and the country?

Just trying to et a sense for the people always complaining about the other guy being a liar. What do you do then?
