She is cute. In better days she would have a smile on that face. Even if they manage a ceasefire, the country is nothing but rubble. A lot of people would have no home in which to return.
Watching tv over the last few weeks, the Ukrainian units with their colored arm bands. It would have been wiser to adopt a uniform that was vastly different than Russia. Yellow stands out from a good distance. It kind of cancels out wearing camo.

Very professionally photographed.
Note the loop lighting of the face along with the accent light to her right and the well placed background light.
Obviously staged.
I don't trust the media on either side.

Actually, you're more prone to hypothermia with alcohol in your system. It's a vasodilator and you lose heat faster.

Not staged.
Her compatriot just had his head blown off, and she was looking for it. There is no gore in this video.
It is rare nowadays that one has to make shit up. What have we come to.

The concept that we believe "fact checkers" more than we believe "posters" has some irony involved in it. We just need to use our brains.
Of course a women taking her "portfolio" photograph is going to have it done professionally. She may or may not be a soldier, but a professionally done photograph isn't a debit.

I remember when only studio quality pro cameras could hold 10 megapixel.
Now that or more, is in every handheld.
As for armbands etc. the Uks got most of their equip from Russia. Can't go to the neighborhood store and replace everything. So yes, sniper work and street warfare requires alternate markings. Btw, the Uks are nicely sniping Ru generals.
The reddit clip gal reminds me of the old light infantry that somewhat doesn't exsist anymore. Light gear, move fast, period.
Standard gear load for US infantry nowadays is over 90 lbs.

Yes, smart phones carry very sophisticated cameras with all kinds of imaging correction but, they don't carry , at minimum, 4 other lights in them as were used in this photo.
Not sure how fact checking comes into pointing out the lighting setup. Anyone with basic studio photography skills can see it.
The girl may or may not be an actual Ukrainian soldier.
Although it is interesting how coverage of the Azov battalion has changed over the last few weeks.
The photo is still carefully lit and posed. Hardly a battlefield snap shot.

You’re right about the photographer! There are other shots of regular Ukrainian folk in the set of equal quality!
The weapon is an AK-74, not a 47! Hardly an Airsoft! I’ve handled and fired a few of older, wood stock and grip, 47s in my lifetime. For the rank and file sillyvilian it’s hard to tell them apart! Oh, and so you know the “AK-47/74” designation is NATO, not Russian or Soviet!!

Your linked usatoday article was a fact check of a photoshopped tractor pulling a very large missile. lol
I was describing my link. The op's photo is clearly a studio portfolio photoshoot.

Yep, acknowledged above! A professional NYT photographer, to be exact, of real life Ukrainian people. Nothing phony about it!
Do you look for the negative, the conspiracy in everything around you?
P.S. You don’t need a fancy studio or expensive equipment to take very high quality portraits! Slow shutter speed, medium aperture and know what you’re doing!
