When someone sneezes or coughs, that water vapor drifts into some ones path by air circulation. If they're wearing a mask, it would filter out some of the vapor from the nose & mouth, but the eyes would be exposed to the water vapor filled viruses.

Wearing glasses or face shield protects the face from it.


With glasses, You still can catch a virus only because it has openings for a water vapor to get behind the glasses.


There was a study that said a person has less chance of getting sick if he wore glasses. It goes higher if one wears a face shield.
