Black Lives Matter activists threaten ‘riots’ if Mayor-elect Eric Adams reinstates controversial NYPD anti-crime units

Leaders of the city’s Black Lives Matter movement on Wednesday threatened “riots” and “bloodshed” in the streets if Mayor-elect Eric Adams reverses the abolition of the NYPD’s controversial anti-crime units.

“If he thinks that they’re going to go back to the old ways of policing, then we are going to take to the streets again. There will be riots, there will be fire and there will be bloodshed because we believe in defending our people,” said Hawk Newsome, co-founder of Black Lives Matter of Greater New York, after a heated meeting with Adams in Brooklyn Borough Hall.

wouldn't such a statement be considered a terrorist threat? i would say so. of course BLM is untouchable .. for now .. so they get a free pass on their antics. interesting that the majority of blacks and hispanics do not favor defunding the police, they in fact want more police to combat the liberal crime wave.

As a NY-er (who's flying back home today!) I have high hopes for Adams. He can push back on the Burn, Loot Murder bunch who, ultimately, are just grifters. "Demonstrations" disappear when cash is exchanged. Ask Rev. Al, who's made a nice career of it.
