USPS is delaying more mail starting October 1, 2021.

well.. its easy to see why the USPS had to do this.

1. they haven't made money in 15+ years and have to get some hand outs from uncle sam.
2. they're hobbled by a very generous and expensive employee pension plan they have to fund.
3. they're trying to get postal costs under control.

some reps are upset about this and want Trump appointee Dejoy be fired.

fyi, regarding Dejoy, he did not make orders on his own to initiate a plan for USPS. He had his plan approved by the USPS board.

3 or 4 cent-pieces. Like the prices of everything else.

apparently, USPS used to do this from 1911 to 1967 and was phased out after that. USPS is doing a trial run in 3 major cities.
