Visiting for the first time

Hey I’ll be spending some time in Carlyle IL coming Friday and it will be my first time out this way.
Not sure what’s cool & hip out here any recommendations?
I’ll be staying in Collinsville and may enjoy some private time of my own here and there but not completely a guarantee. I’ll have a family member with me and I’ll likely be able to sneak out without being seen a couple times
I know a few of you watch my PornHub but I’ll actually being around this time

Places to eat are numerous depending on where you are staying
The Hill area for Italian food - It's the old Italian neighborhood back when there were ethnic neighborhoods.
Downtown, Caleco's is a good choice as well as Charlie Giotto's

Things to do:
St. Louis Zoo (world class and it's free)
Art Museum (Free as well)
Science museum(also free) These three are all in Forest Park. If you come in the summer there is also the Muny Opera which is the largest outdoor theater in the US. Mostly musicals. There is also the St. Louis Wheel and the St. Louis Aquarium at Union Station downtown.
If you like to Gamble, there is Lumiere downtown and Casino Queen right across the river. Hollywood in Maryland Heights and Ameristar about 2 miles from there in St. Charles.

City Museum for the kid in you
The St. Louis Aquarium and big Ferris Wheel at Union Station
About 2 hours southwest of St. Louis are some really great float streams if you are into canoeing or tubing.

The Old and New Cathedrals
There is also Meramec Caverns and the Cave Man zip line in Stauton MO, about an hours drive west on I44.
