Lots of ways you can try to increase chances that person is real.
- reverse image search their pictures. If its a pornstar, theyre probably a fake (or it may be a real girl that looks nothing like that porn star, as in the case of most of the asian ads).
- google their phone number. If their ad is currently running in multiple cities, theyre probably a fake. However, if they have a long-running pattern of ads that shows theyre a touring provider (little overlap, stops make sense going from one city to another) theyre more likely to be real.
- reviews help. Sure, they could be fake, but the more reviews there are, the less likely they all are.
- if they ask for a deposit, theyre probably a scammer
- note how long theyve been advertising. If someone's been advertising for awhile and doesnt fail the fake pictures\adds all over tests, theyre probably real (though ymmv if the pictures are up to date)
And of course, once you've done these and you're still kind of iffy, you can throw up a post on here and see if anyone's toftt on her yet.
Overall though, go with your gut. Don't be afraid to walk away if something doesnt smell right. Any provider worth seeing will understand your caution as they will do the exact same thing to protect themselves.
That being said, its gotten a lot worse of late. Half the ads on STG are fakes though after awhile you recognize em so you can quickly scroll by them. I learned most of these ways to try to verify a provider during the backpage days, when it seemed like there was a lot more talent coming through. I barely see anyone new anymore because of this as most of the time either the girls fail the above tests or the ones that remain aren't ones I want to see (body type, limited menu, sky high prices etc)
