I would not say half. I say closer to 10%. I agree that some people don't wear the mask correctly.

I was speaking locally. It's about half, with about 1/3 in Austin proper. Anyone else in Austin able to confirm?

If you're still in Sacramento, yeah, I'd buy 10%.

Yeah, if you go to East Texas they don't really seem to give a fuck about wearing a mask. I don't go there often but it's definitely a change from where I live in Dallas. It's kind of strange because they look at people where I live like they are idiots for not wearing a mask, and there they look at you like you are a paranoid idiot for wearing one... I am so used to wearing a mask and practicing social distancing that I felt like a complete weirdo the last time I was in East Texas and doing the same.

A family member was recently in West Texas and it is the same there as in East Texas. In the Austin area the compliance level is very high.

At first both HEB and Randalls said they would not require masks for shoppers starting on Wednesday. They quickly reversed and now will require masks. Gold's Gym will not require masks starting on Wednesday, except for employees. I'm interested to see how many people continue to wear masks.

Thank U - sr - a classic demonstration of how masks are a political litmus test - for publically identifying the 'caucasian white supremacists' and 'resistance to the new world Order of fiden, harris, nazi pelosi, and commie schumer"!

and - how are your DPST plans for the AOC concentration camps for more than 100 million members of teh "Resistance"?????
Perhaps 'w' is on that case.

In Texas if businesses require masks to enter people will wear masks into those businesses. When those businesses start loosing customers, they will remove their requirement to wear them to enter the business.

Florida is doing the same.

The Austin area will continue to operate within the deluded hysteria.*

The Harris County will also. Dumbocrats in power.

Montgomery County quit that shit months ago ... and the small businesses up there have been open since the summer .... The Chinese dominated box stores .... still having to struggle with the goofball rules they put into play when they supported the introduction of the current administration ... who lied to them.

Does anyone know any providers who require masks during the session? It's odd they don't advertise such if in fact they do.

Quote:
Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told USA TODAY's Editorial Board Monday.

Short of that, Fauci says skip the masks unless you are contagious, don't worry about catching anything from Chinese products and certainly don't avoid Chinese people or restaurants.

"Whenever you have the threat of a transmissible infection, there are varying degrees from understandable to outlandish extrapolations of fear," Fauci said.
Since Fauci had a personal and financial interest in the development of the cell that was morphed into Covid19 then he should know!

Quote:
•Masks. The only people who need masks are those who are already infected to keep from exposing others. The masks sold at drugstores aren't even good enough to truly protect anyone, Fauci said.

"If you look at the masks that you buy in a drug store, the leakage around that doesn't really do much to protect you," he said. "People start saying, 'Should I start wearing a mask?' Now, in the United States, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to wear a mask."

Fauci also doesn't want people to worry, but many are.
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...ds/4787209002/

*A person I've known for a long time who lives in Austin most of the time sent me a couple of "new ... high-quality ... effective" masks that "just came out in Isreal" and that will "kill the Covid on contact"! These "new masks" started being manufactured over a year ago when they were also put on the market!! And beginning about four to five years ago the same manufacturer was producing a similar mask using another metal saturation that was replaced in the "new" over a year ago!

That's the kind of lameass shit coming from the jokes in Austin who want to keep up the fear and hysteria in the public.

I have to read your "mask wearing instructions"! Can you give a brief description, please?

Really? If someone doesn't know how to put on a mask then they probably shouldn't be out and about in the first place!

Kids need to get back in school so they can take ...

"Mask Wearing In Public 101"!!!!!!

The mask should cover the mouth AND nose. Many people wearing the mask do not have it covering their nose.

Why would they?

They probably haven't even taken down the signs PROHIBITING folks from entering with a mask on! Just like they haven't "closed" the separate restrooms for those "other folks"! FYI: Bitten didn't visit up there. Houston only!

That makes sense. It is more of a communal area when you are in a small rural town so people are more trust worthy with each other. When you are in a city, people don't trust your health for shit just like they should not do so for their own safety and for your own safety as well.

Regardless of where I am, I'll keep the same protocols the experts say to follow because last time I checked, I am neither an MD nor a scientist.

Actually I am being rather humble. I did make a D in chemistry II in undergrad so I am pretty much a scientific expert in absolutely nobody's opinion but mine.

Until then you should wear a mask and practice social distancing.
I know of people who have been wearing a Mask and practicing Social Distancing to the letter and still got Covid-19, explain that?

Masks are not a perfect answer - if they were - the pandemic would be OVER!
They do likely slow teh progression of he virus - until enough vaccinations get us to her immunity.
What is that point - no One - including fauci - knows for sure.

Meanwhile - the tiny tyrant party is loosing their cookies over Abbott and other governors opening up their states. In defiance of teh DPST litmus test of loyalty to wear a mask.

and if U think the gov Gruesome's out there have any intention of giving up their control over the destruction of American small business - you sadly underestimate the marxist bastards!

Documented experts in medicine suc has 'a' - may now spew more DPST litmus test of loyalty to comrade Xi nonsense!

Connecticut has removed virtually all covid restrictions on businesses effective 3-19, as have other leftist states

although they did keep the mask

but you don't hear anything about that for the governor is of the tyrant party

L-17 - some do think so - the conformity requiring Groupthink party of the DPST/ccp - bowing to Comrade Xi and given their thought instructions on lying XiNN.
