Have either of you ever stopped to wonder, and I say this respectfully, that if you keep having to say the phrase "wow, I'm glad I'm not indoctrinated in that cult", that you might in fact, be indoctrinated in another cult?
I'm not denying the fact that there are Trump fans that take it too far, (the term "fan" rooting itself in "fanatic"), but turns of phrase like "put a gun to my head" seem either overdramatic or apoplectic, and kind of feeds the "Trump Derangement Syndrome" narrative.
I watch both Trump and Biden's speeches. No doubt I have a preference for one over the other, but neither make me want to suck-start a shotgun. In fact, I would argue that listening to both is important with both Mainstream and Social Media's tendency to take phrases out of context and write their own narrative.
