Default if so, why?

“Are you planning to continue carrying Fox News, OANN, and Newsmax on your platform both now and beyond the renewal date? If so, why?”

Congressional Democrats are targeting cable providers for carrying conservative leaning news outlets Fox, Newsmax and One America News Network, accusing the networks of spreading “disinformation and extremism” by broadcasting “conspiracy theories and misleading or patently false information” regarding the COVID pandemic and the November presidential election.

The New York Times reported Monday about a letter sent to cable providers by House Democrats:
In advance of the Wednesday hearing, called “Fanning the Flames: Disinformation and Extremism in the Media,” members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee sent a letter on Monday to Comcast, AT&T, Spectrum, Dish, Verizon, Cox and Altice, asking about their role in “the spread of dangerous misinformation.”

fascistic totalitarianism reigns

and freedom is under attack

these dimocrat congress people have little understanding and no love for America and care not for truth, just power

If you ever wondered what was meant by a "slippery slope", you are now watching it.

Turn on CNN and look at their banner. "More people get their news from CNN than any other source".

That's a lie. Will any of those platforms take CNN off the air for spreading dis-information?

Any of you watch the channel that claims the holocaust did not happen?

It teaches a whole generation of Muslims alternate history.

Jews had their own holocaust in Russia, not to belittle the one foisted upon them later. Hitler was actually a phenomenal leader and economic genius before the war. His economic revitalization of a country that was decimated by the Treaty of Versailles and Weimar Republic was nothing short of amazing.

The history books are written by the victors, but with a little research one can find very intriguing, opposing points of view. IMO Hitler would have gone down as one of the most ingenious leaders in history, had he not became a paranoid schizophrenic meth head.

Those Democrats are insurrectionists.

From what I've read only two Dim Reps signed the letter. But why a letter? They control the FCC. Countless other federal agencies. Why do an "end round" and bully those companies with a letter?

BTW, AT&T owns CNN. Or did. A lot of these carriers own various networks/stations.

It's 2021. With my YoutubeTV sub I should be able to pick and chose what stations I want in my package. I watch at most 10 channels. Why am I paying for an unwatchable number?

You're probably right especially here in the US. But CNN is world wide and likely kowtows to every local ordinance to keep on the air or cabal, er cable.

It's unfortunate that the LunaticSocialists don't spend their time on improving their education and critical thinking skills rather than attempting to silence the intellectually stronger conservative movement in this country.

It really shouldn't surprise anyone on Eccie that their "silence" response is their preference based on the RTM addiction of them here on Eccie over the years.

The initial purpose of the 1st Amendment as it relates to "speech" and "publication" was to allow various viewpoints to be available for ALL TO CONSUME in order to make a good decision.

I recognize that the LunaticSocialists ACTUALLY BELIEVE they will be the dominate political movement for the rest of the future of this Nation, so they are not concerned about the "shoe being on the other foot" and therefore the concept of the usage of their OPPRESSIVE TOOLS will not be EVER VISITED ON THEM.

Do they really want to live behind a razor fence all their lives?

Anything that any broadcast media runs on air is for the advertising revenue.
Shall we start a betting pool on how soon politicians go after the advertisers?
