And I had such a problem in both Chrome and FireFox. 3 or 4 days a warning popped up. What was the problem? Is there a real risk of malware infection on your computer or not?

If you want ultimate security you should all be using something calles "Tails". Tails is what journalists, spys, informants, etc use to cover their tracks. You can get it from https://tails.boum.org and set it up on a USB drive. You boot the computer from there so there is no history on the machine and your IP address is protected so there is no way for anyone to find out as long as you keep the latest version on the USB. I saw the warning too, so I loaded up tails before proceeding.


Also, this will get you around corporate web blocking and such but don't be stupid, obviously.

Tails is not an app. It's a portable/live operating system that replaces Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux, and runs from a USB stick. You can run it on a desktop or laptop PC. Tails does not work on most tablets and phones.

The other day I read some news that there was a man who blackmailed little girls in the USA. He wrote them on Facebook using TOR and Tails installed on his PC. I don't remember all the details (you can easily google them if you want) but there was a vulnerability in Tails which helped eventually catch that man. So using Tails is not the way-out because you don't know what breeches there are still.

As far as I know talking about serious companies who care about their security they usually rely not on certain apps or OS but hire security experts to provide a thorough analysis of the company's software and hardware. Say, we hired https://www.digitalforensics.com/ about a year ago or so. Still no complaits about data breaches or something!
