If you put the little red book down, you might be able to go back and realize I was talking about Republican spending too.

Only reason it's a recent topic is because historically they talked a good game about fiscal responsibility.

And when national debt goes up, gdp goes down, and jobs / buying power with it.

Yes sir!

This goes for SW as well. Feel like I’ve been saying this for a while now in these threads

Funny how no one seems to have complaints about the government spending when the Republicans hold the purse strings.
ok, let me get this right..... you are suggesting that raising taxes on workers which in turn gives them less buying power does not decrease the gnp?

and raising the corp tax again doesnt affect gnp?

please advise what economic class you got this from so i make sure i never take it

All I can say is WOW... the level of ignorance of economics displayed in this thread is jaw-dropping!

Yeah, because government ALWAYS knows how to spend your hard-earned money better than you do, right el-mo?

On things like Solyndra, UC fraud, "shovel-ready" projects...

... and how about the popo? If all government spending "is, in fact good" then why would anyone want to defund them?
