As if they are all giddy about a not-so-secret plan, globalists and world bankers drone on and on about resetting society under the guise of a changing world due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For instance, recently, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau — a baptized Catholic who should be prayed for — went viral in a video address to the U.N. initiative out of Europe wherein he lauded the coronavirus pandemic as providing an “opportunity for a reset” of society.

Introduction

The U.S. government has overspent on Covid-related expenditure by a staggering amount. In this piece, I assess by how much the government has overspent and present what ought to have been spent using the experts’ measure of cost-effective policy.

Crafting policy requires weighing costs against benefits. This is Economics 101. Without careful cost-benefit analysis, policy makers can easily overspend or underspend leading to a myriad of issues. Overspending on a given policy wastes public resources and results in insufficient funding for more pressing issues. Underspending on a policy will not maximize its benefit and will also lead to unaddressed needs.

In regard to Covid, many are frustrated with how cavalier the government has spent money. So far, the U.S. federal government and Federal Reserve has spent $5.2 trillion on Covid. This is more than the U.S. spent on World Wars I and II, combined (adjusted for inflation). To provide you with just how wasteful this government spending has been, I estimated the number of dollars spent per year of life “saved”.
