Yeah, I'm quite proud of myself for making it this far! A neighbor's daughter and her girl scout troop planted American flags in the yards of everybody on the block for Veterans Day and when I thanked her and her daughter for honoring my service, she hadn't realized that I was a veteran. I guess it was a scout project to take a picture with a Veteran and she asked and I agreed. What she didn't know until I walked outside, that I would be wearing my Navy uniform that I hadn't worn in 51 years next month, and it fit!!!! Those 13 buttons on the pants were quite the challenge.


And I'm damn proud of that too! My service and the fact that I manged to button those pants. I'm still smiling about that.

Good for you for taking care of yourself. Friends my age can't even fit in their clothes from 5 years ago. I have friends who are my height or taller giving me pants and shirts because they say they will never fit into them again. I'm like, do I look like Goodwill to you? Of course I take them though because I never turn down free shit. I even had a friend who is 5'11" offer me pants he can't wear. That dumb motherfucker is 5 inches shorter than me. What the fuck kind of fool would I look like wearing those pants in public? I took them though and gave them to a guy at the homeless shelter. That man really needed some new pants.

What you're upset about is I said people who don't use good sense, by social distancing, staying home when they're sick until they're tested, staying about from crowded indoor settings, and wearing masks when appropriate, will create the conditions that will cause politicians to lock down the economy. I don't want that to happen.

I shouldn't have made it personal by the way. While I wear masks 10 or 11 hours a day from time to time, I don't have to do it every day while busting my ass. And I haven't been out of work because of Covid.

Yes, much to my amazement, they do. They do have more than one uniform but the everyday uniform, to my knowledge, is the same one I wore 50 years ago.
