To tell the truth, Duraman, when you are locked down for 20 hours a day, eating is one of the few things you can do. I spent nine days in Mobile metro because the circuit judge I had to see only works once a week, I guess he called in sick, whatever it was, I spent an extra seven days because of it.
The food is terrible, I gave mine away for the first couple of days , but eventually you have to eat something ... 2000 calories is the RDA (recommended daily allowance), I don’t know how many people do that much on their own, They make sure you get it in jail.
That’s a whole different culture, you definitely don’t want to see it. Those guys are used to it.
