Three days after President Donald Trump incited a
political firestorm by suggesting November's presidential election potentially be delayed, Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC)
said Sunday morning that Trump "doesn't plan to have fair and unfettered elections," and compared the president to fascist dictator Benito Mussolini.
On Thursday, Trump
tweeted that if universal mail-in voting were approved, then the 2020 election would be the "most inaccurate and fraudulent election in history."
Trump then indicated that he would conceivably support
delaying November's election, something the president does not have the constitutional authority to do, "until people can properly, securely and safely vote."
Clyburn, the Majority Whip and the third-ranking Democrat in the U.S. House of Representatives,
said on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday morning that he believes Trump isn't planning on leaving the White House peacefully.
"He doesn't plan to have a fair election. I believe that he plans to install himself in some kind of emergency way to continue to hold on to office," Clyburn declared.
When asked directly about direct comparisons between Trump and other vilified dictators such as Adolf Hilter, Clyburn
responded, "I feel very strongly that [Trump] has taken on strong-arm tactics, and I feel very strongly that he is Mussolini. Putin is Hitler."
Trump has received
widespread criticism from Republicans since casually suggesting that the presidential election should be delayed, with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, House GOP Conference Chair Liz Cheney, and even Rep. Matt Gaetz, an ardent Trump supporter, thoroughly dismissing the notion the election should be postponed
for any reason.

Clyburn said Sunday. "I know a little bit about history, and I know how countries find their demise. It is when we fail to let democracy, the fundamentals of which is a fair, unfettered election, and that's why he is trying to put a cloud over this election, floating the idea of postponing the elections."

On Friday, during Dr. Anthony Fauci's testimony before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, Rep. Clyburn questioned Fauci on America's inability to contain Covid-19 compared to Europe. In response, Trump
tweeted, "Somebody please tell Congressman Clyburn, who doesn't have a clue, that the chart he put up indicating more CASES for the U.S. than Europe, is because we do MUCH MORE testing than any other country in the World. If we had no testing, or bad testing, we would show very few CASES." Clyburn addressed the president's attack on CBS's "Face the Nation" on Sunday by
stating, "I'm simply laying out the fact, the president has his opinions." Clyburn, who currently serves as the Chairman of the House Select Committee on the Coronavirus Crisis, added, "I believe very strongly that we do not have the kind of national leadership we need from this White House … there needs to be one coordinated, concerted effort to bring our attention to this problem nationally." The Congressman, a former public school teacher, was also asked by CBS Sunday morning whether he would go back to the classroom to teach students this fall. "Absolutely not. Not until we have a national plan."
Clyburn responded. "We can't have children going to school when we have not laid out a plan for there to be social distancing, for everyone to be required to wear a mask."

'Mussolini and Hitler' - Clyburn and the DPST's must be getting very insecure about biden as a POTUS candidate - and it shows. How desperate for their narrative of Lies to go to both mussolini and Hitler - over a thought to delay the election for coronavirus safety.
And tht translates to refusal to leave office - trump knows the election date is set by legislative action - and not an EO.
