6 people died of COVID in Harris county yesterday. Despite an almost all encompassing mask order. No reporting of how many were rioters.

But keep the panic coming.

Anything not to reopen schools.

What do you call 130,000 deaths, with just 10% of the USA population being infected? The CV19 virus has another 300 million more people it could infect in the USA.

Little'a' - is just loving the Wuhan virus.

Thinks it hurts Trump. And to some it may - but it is China profiting - and Xi has Hunter and uncle Joe in his pocket - paid up in full.

Other than shutting down the world economy and concentration camps for mask commandment violators - anything constructive to offer, DPST's????
as usual - just hysteria.

I wonder if this was counted as a COVID death. The young woman had terminal cancer.

Give up. You're not going to convert a Mormon missionary or a flat earther. The majority here believe even Governor Abbott's steps to save lives, the economy, and Republican seats in the legislature are unreasonable. Abbott is a wise man btw. He realizes old people vote, and when their husbands and wives and friends start dying they're going to be mad as hell.

There is some good news out, that may make your worst case predictions less likely. Gilead's Phase 3 trial is showing a 62% reduction in mortality risk for patients using Remdesivir. They also looked at using Remdesivir and hydroxychloroquine concommitantly (together). The addition of HCQ wasn't shown to increase mortality but did increase side effects and slowed recovery.

Tiny - thanks for the Follow up on teh Gilead trial.

Hopefulness.

Meanwhile - 'a' and cabal have nothing to offer other than shut down the world economy until "They Decide" it is OK to open up.

Maybe 2121??? At best.

Typical DPST - nothing constructive to offer.

What we call the flu was much deadlier until we learned to treat it over the years, you simpleton.

Did you get your ass beat in school alot?
Ooohh, I see. So your whole idiotic argument is based on the bad assumption that we will be able to treat this next year better than we treat the flu.

One enormous "IF" argument.

Tell me, idiot - what makes you think we will be able to treat this like we treat the flu? We don't actually "treat" the flu. We have partially-effective vaccines for it. But once, you get it, you pretty much have to tough it out. Medications have limited effectiveness. That's why 30K-50K die of flu every year.

There is NO guarantee we will have a vaccine for CV-19. There is NO guarantee we will develop a treatment - since we haven't even got one for the flu.

The flu only kills 30K-50K each year because only a small percentage (maybe 20%) of the population gets the flu to begin with. But it appears that CV-19 is going to affect the majority of the population - 50% or more. So, not only does it have a much higher death rate (over 1.5%), it will be spread to far more people.

If antibody immunity does not last more than a few months, we may lose more than 150K EVERY year until there is a vaccine.

That is a worst case scenario, but it is NOT a highly unlikely one.

Abbott only just issued the "all encompassing" mask order. The people who died in Harris County yesterday caught CV-19 two weeks ago.

Try getting the facts straight.

Read this:

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/texas/

Well, I notice you switched from 6 dead in 4 days to 6 dead "yesterday" (July 9). At least you are finally getting facts straight.

But here's an update - Harris County had 16 deaths yesterday (July 10). Up from 6.

Dallas had 9 deaths yesterday. Same as the day before.

Texas had 106 deaths yesterday. Up from 85.

"The cure must not be worse than the disease"

K - the number of deaths is not out of line for a severe year of Influenza A.

Yet you DPST's want the entire world economy shut down to protect those who have at most a mild case.

It is a political move - and Trump Hate is the real motivator.

DPST's are so very Transparent in their hatred.

Civil War is coming!

This is patently FALSE. Yet you keep saying it. A severe YEAR of flu kills about 50-60K. We are already double that in less than 6 months.

The Spanish flu of 1918-1919 is generally regarded as the worst ever pandemic. In 2 years, it killed between 300K and 800K, depending on what source you cite. But the US population was only one third of the 2020 population. So, multiply those numbers by 3 to scale it to the current population - 900K to 2.4 million.

At current projections, we will have 250K dead by the end of the year - and that is only about 10 actual months of deaths. If the second year (2021) matches 2020, then we are looking at over 500K dead.

There is NO reason to believe that there is any seasonal variation in CV-19. And there is no reason to believe we will have a vaccine before we are well into 2021.

Since we will start from a much higher case count in January 2021, it is easy to believe that the death count will match or exceed 2020, even if we lower the death rate.

So, the 500K number is not a worst case scenario. It has a significant possibility of occurring. We are in the same ballpark as the Spanish flu. FAR worse than an ordinary "severe" flu season.

We are already treating it so much better than the faggot Yankees up in NYC did just a few months ago and now we have convalesent plasma, IDIOT!

Compared to early April, we have twice as many cases and 1/3 the deaths in the Estados Unidos.

Plus, deaths have gone done over the last two days, IDIOT.

You have been weighed in the balance and found wanting.
