At best, a vaccine is 9 mos away. Strange that I'm hearing that Dr Fauci's wife is in charge of the NIH wing that approves vaccines.

Herd immunity may be the best way to go.

I am reading that because the number of deaths are so low, the Wuhan virus should no longer be considered a "pandemic."

While parents may be very concerned, they don't have much choice. They can't home school their children and work
We have to get the kids physically back into school in order to recover. Not just economically but socially.

Realistically - the DPST's have politicized the Wuhan virus - and OBLM with Disband Police and Destroy the rule of Constitution and law and Order.

If Biden wins - hannah-Jones will be Sec Def and disarm all police, and military - and open the country to Chinese Marxism takeover.

Prepare to defend yourselves - Civil war is coming.

Arm yourself while You still can.

I will die defending the Constitution - and take down as many damn marxist terrorists as i can.

In general disease that is caused by a virus can't be cured with a pharmaceutical. Your immunity system has to make the antibody specific to that virus if there is no vaccine. With most people their immunity system can make the antibody to clear the virus that causes the common cold. With the common cold, the virus mutates every year so your immunity system has to make a new antibody every year. The virus that causes measles does not mutate, so once you have had it and recover or get the vaccine you are good to go. With CV19 if you get infected your immunity system will have to make the antibody to clear the virus or you will need to get the vaccine when it is available. Human trials have already started, by next April it should be available. Hydroxychloroquine has worked in some people, not well enough for the FDA to authorize its use for CV19.

With the 3 million cases in the USA right now, the number of people infected is around 30 million people, almost 10% of the population. To get to Herd Immunity an additional 180 million people need to become infected to get to 70% of the population. The 70% is the percentage needed to achieve Herd Immunity. It took four plus months to get just 10% of the population infected. The vaccine may become available before Herd Immunity is achieved.

except that so-called "experts" are saying the real infection rate could be 10 X what was previously thought.

CDC chief says coronavirus cases may be 10 times higher than reported

CDC acknowledges true coronavirus count is likely 10 times higher than official count

  • CDC Director Robert Redfield told reporters on Thursday that the number of Americans who had been infected with the novel coronavirus was probably 10 times higher than the official count.
  • "Our best estimate right now is that for every case that's reported, there actually are 10 other infections," he told reporters.
  • Redfield's admission echoes what researchers have been saying for months about the likelihood of a higher coronavirus count, particularly in countries with severe outbreaks.

what does that do for your herd immunity numbers? are you taking the "official" number of reported cases 3 million and x 10 get 30 million? or is 30 million your low estimate?

I'm in a high risk group but I will take my chances w the virus that has a 99.7% survival rate, thank you.

Mortality rate for CV19 much closer to 99.0%, which means if 300 Million people in the USA got infected, there would be 3 million deaths. Everyone hopes that they are not one of those 3 million. Your chances are good. If they make a vaccine for CV19 and the DNA has been removed (they call it deactivated) your chances are even better.

I am taking the "official" 3 million x 10 = 30 million.

So, for every person that has symptoms there are 10 people who are asymptomatic. A 10 to 1 ratio. This was based on the serology test of antibodies and is really an estimate.

What is the survival rate within your "high risk group"?

I don't know why you guys get caught up in the minutiae of all this esoteric bullshit when simplistically we need a new Pres.Once Chump is voted out things will immediately get better.

The whole country will exhale and relax.

So far the survival rate of life has been 0% But let's panic.

I'm seeing various school districts are trying to get kids back into school this fall and "the guidance" isn't allowing them.

Getting the schools back up, especially public schools, are imperative to the road to recovery. The politicians aren't allowing it. They don't allow dissent. I have no recourse if the schools close and no one to complain to.

Again, I think there's going to be severe tax revenue shortages upcoming.
