Like was posted. I don't know anyone who has died of Covid19.
So how could I have "solace"?
Nor do I know anyone who died of the flu this year.

Considering Texas has a 50% larger population, it will mean we did a better job with fewer deaths, commie.

In a bad year, flu kills 50K. We are already at 140K in only 4 months. We will have over 200K by the end of the year. So, no, we are losing a LOT more than flu alone would take.
|
By the time we make it to next year and Texas teaches people how to save the patients, then the deaths may very well equal the flu death rate.

You really do thinks it's a competition.
But what if TX only had 10K deaths because it didn't rush to reopen? Wouldn't that be a fuck up on the part of TX.
We should have done a harder lock down and made it last at least 2 weeks and preferably a month longer. We would be counting daily new cases in the low hundreds (like NY is) and we would be counting deaths in single digits.

There is stupid wishful thinking.
If everyone stopped dying right NOW, we would still have 140K deaths. You typically get 30K to 50K from flu. So how would it equal the annual flu death rate when it is already 3-5 times higher?
You just don't know math, do you?

K - Apparently, Trump knew a lot more than he let on.
The military briefed him in JANUARY and he continued to do the absolute minimum.
How many times did the stable genius contradict Fauci or Blix - sometimes right in front of them at a press conference.
And don't get me started about the way he grasped at straws with hydrochloroquine and drinking disinfectant (!!!).
Andrew Cuomo BADLY botched the NY nursing home situation and pathetically tries to blame everyone else.
But he STILL gets undeserved praise because he put on a dignified and somber face during his daily press conferences. He projected competence and gravitas even as he screwed up behind the scenes.
If only the clown in the WH had stayed off Twitter and acted with some dignity during press conferences - keeping his answers short and to the point and in-line with what Fauci and others were telling him.
His approval rating would be up around 50% instead of at 38% and falling.
K - Do you have the transcript of the "briefing" from january - what was the material and how was Trump briefed?
Prove it occurred and what the material of the briefing was.
O/W - it is just innuendo and false information - document and prove it - or it is just DPST usual mis-information.
go ahead and get started on Cuomo and Deblasio and garcetti - and their misdeeds - I am interested to hear it.
If you hate trump personally - entitled to your opinion.
Hate is ultimately self-destructive - why give it to Trump???
You have a problem with his policies - open up.
The choice in Nov is to continue representative democracy - or elect Biden - a senile incompetent who will have a radical socialist VP to become POTUS . If the Dems win the House and Senate and POTUS - they will pack the Supreme Court with ultra radical liberal judges to legislate socialism from the bench - and the Congress will immediately pass - and have signed all the Socialist pipe dreams of AOC and the radicals _ Soylent Green New Deal, open borders , welfare for all 'illegal' immigrants, elevation of OBLM and its Marxism to its own segregated State, universal no medicare for all - and spend untold Trillions to bankrupt America for their ideology of Marxism.
Biden wins- Welcome to the United Socialist States of Amerika.
Welcome to Venezuela - That is the choice as I see it for Nov 2020.
The outcome if the radicals try to impose Marxism on America - Civil War .
I suggest you be armed and ready for OBLM coming for your home with Molotov cocktails.

Well K - I was impressed by your post about Trump in which you were accurate on facts.
unusual for LibDems.
I had hoped You were a level headed erudite individual to debate issues with.
My hopes are dashed by the descent in to hatred, name-calling. patronizing, elitism, and superiority complex.
Very much a shame. Vote Biden - and enjoy turning America into Venezuela.

And you picked out ONE county for deaths?
Texas was below 2600 deaths just a few days ago. Now TX is at 2823. We added 283 deaths in under a week. It took 4 months to get to 2500. And you don't think the problem is getting worse?
The entire scientific world - and anyone that can count - says that the pandemic is accelerating in the US and elsewhere, but you think it is over based on your distortions of statistics for Harris County.
You are a sociopath.
And review these statistics for TX:
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/texas/
Harris county lost 6 JUST yesterday. Not in 4 days. Dallas lost 9, Tarrant lost 10. In total, TX lost 85 people yesterday and the rate is increasing. How long until we hit NY numbers? 2 weeks? 3 weeks?
Look at the TX projections page:
https://covid19.healthdata.org/unite...-america/texas
Not good. But it shows what a difference masks make.
|
RTM for rudeness.
I look at https://txdshs.maps.arcgis.com/apps/...01e8b9cafc8b83
Saturday it was 395 deaths. When I wrote the post it was 401.
Masks make a difference? Please point me to the posts you made saying this when the riots were happening.

Yeah, but how many and do they have COVID?
That's the problem. They keep telling us that "Hospitals are overwhelmed" but you can't walk through them. There are a very few hospitals that are overwhelmed. Most aren't. It's a dem panic terrorist tactic.
Ask for evidence.

The panic will not subside until Biden gets into office.
Many of the old people who died were close to death anyway and the flu would have gotten them in a few months.
When it's my time to go I just hope I'm coherent enough to take a few liberals with me as a final service to a once great nation!

Who gives AF if people test positive, nobody is dying, least of all school kids. Demtards just want ride it out and keep everything closed, in hope or destroying the economy, until the election. After that Biden can do what he did with N1H1, nothing, and the media will forget it ever happened.

Stop making bad assumptions.
I have never been a Dem or a liberal. I have voted GOP my entire life except in 2016 when I did not for either Trump or Clinton.
I lean libertarian-ish.

the IR light inside the body... it is not made up. they are actually testing/developing that IR technology. its a non-invasive method meant to go inside a patient's lungs and zap the virus in there.
I don't know why you think this was embarrassing.
Trump is not a great speaker and is not very articulate with his comments.

How can you have such poor reading comprehension?
I'm obviously not talking about cumulative deaths next year, but the yearly total...which if we figure out how to treat this thing could easily be like a regular flu season with a similiar IFR in the second year - since this is a NOVEL coronavirus. What we call the flu was much deadlier until we learned to treat it over the years, you simpleton.
Did you get your ass beat in school alot?

Thanks for the link and quotes. Proves my point of just driving by the hospital. What happened to the TWO large emergency clinics Judge Hildago opened here in Houston for COVID that went basically unused at large taxpayer expense?
