I’m really in need of a haircut.. feeling kinda rusty going so long without one.. I heard May18 or something is when shops will start opening up again.

ThoreXile - I get your trying to help out with the heads up on the legit haircut.. the concern isn’t whether getting something extra but rather because the person is doing their business cutting hair during the city shut down order.. they could get fined and charged by the city if found out.

The shops were closed by the shop owners. They will open them.

I just got a haircut from the lady who has cut it for awhile.

I have used the chains for years, so I don’t know any independent stylists to ask. My go to is a manager at one of the chains. All the chains are shut down for now, so I am getting a bit shaggy. All I need is a cut and eyebrow wax for a reasonable price. Last DIY haircut was not my best look.

LL-
Do you care to comment on what Paxton and Vassar had to say below??

If you encouraged somebody to go to a massage place that was open(because as you say...they voluntarily closed down..the state had nothing to do with it), and they got in trouble with the law for being there...would you defend them for free?? Or would you be a good lawyer and charge $5K to get them out of trouble??

****************************** ****************************** ****************
The office of Attorney General Ken Paxton is making clear to county judges that Gov. Greg Abbott's new executive order reopening Texas businesses does not include places like barbershops, hair salons and gyms.
When Abbott announced the order Monday, he specifically said he was not yet ready to open those kinds of establishments. But a few local officials, including Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough, have since questioned whether the order actually excludes those businesses. On Tuesday, Keough criticized Abbott's order as "uncommonly vague" and said he would allow all businesses to reopen unless he got further clarification from the state.
A top lawyer in Paxton's office provided that clarification in a letter to county judges Thursday. Ryan Vassar, deputy attorney general for legal counsel, wrote that Abbott's order is "neither vague nor unenforceable."
“Some services are neither essential nor reopened services for purposes of” Abbott’s order, Vassar said. “These include ‘bars, gyms, public swimming pools, interactive amusement venues such as bowling alleys and video arcades, massage establishments, tattoo studios, piercing studios or cosmetology salons.'"

Why does he consider a liquor store essential? I would think being able to get a haircut is more essential than buying a bottle of booze. All these governors playing God are going go get bit in the ass come election time.

Vague and lacking useful information as always. What we've come to expect unfortunately
I look forward to a typical response I can ignore. Can't wait!
Cheers!

Alcoholics going through withdrawals when they run out of booze = big problem. That’s all I could come up with when I first mulled that one over.

Yes sir, you're probably right. I guess they also think that is more important than killing all the small businesses that will be gone forever due to this over reaction.
