Again - the chloroquines are FDA approved now for use with Wuhan virus.

There are patients on the drug for Lupus and other conditions that also need the drug.

The nationwide supply is limited - not designed for a massive country wide use - while manufacturers ramp up production.


It should not be diverted to people with mild or asymptomatic cases of Wuhan virus.

Only people with serious condition infections with Wuhan virus should be treated with the chloroquine drugs.



Diversion of the drugs away from patients with long term prescriptions and need has happened - that should not happen. Those patients have valid needs as well.
