the constitution is clear, only the president has the authority to conduct foreign policy with other nations. the only role Congress plays is in ratifying formal treaties. a conversation with the president of Ukraine isn't a formal treaty.

so what right does Congress have to privileged conversations of a president?

NONE.

thank you valued troll!
I know you fancy yourself as the Head Troll in the Trump Troll Army, but that doesn't mean shit to me or anyone else. This aint about what you claim, privileged conversation. This is asking the president of a foreign government to investigate his political rival. Pull your head out of IBs ass, otherwise known as The Deep State

Here’s another random thought Chungster. What if Don Jr or Eric Trump was involved in the shenanigans that Hunter Biden was? What would people like you think about it? Or Pelosi and the angry Democrats.

Pull your head out of your own damn ass, Moscow Mystic. Art II of the Constitution dictates that it is the president's responsibility to enforce this nation's laws, and by his own admission, Quid Pro Quo Joe violated this nation's laws.

OMG!! That's outrageous!!

I would say it's almost as bad as asking Putin to make up a dossier filled with dirt on your Presidential opponent!

Except in Biden's case, the dirt isn't made up.

IB I'm not sure if exposing your ass as "The Deep State" is a security breach. I hope that doesn't put you in "compromising positions" We all know you will do anything to have the "Deep State" exposed

You mean like these?

The Intercept reported that Kushner’s father met with Qatar’s finance minister, Ali Sharif al-Emadi, in New York last April. They pitched a $1 billion investment to renovate the struggling tower. The Qataris rejected the pitch because they did not believe they’d ever be able to recover their investment. Soon thereafter, the Trump administration supported an economic blockade of the country by Saudi Arabia.

https://thinkprogress.org/the-kushne...-92f6c12de50c/

Kushner has met repeatedly at the White House with leaders of financial institutions who later loaned his family company millions. He had multiple meetings, for example, with Joshua Harris of Apollo Global Management, supposedly about infrastructure policy. Late last year, Harris’ company loaned the Kushner’s $184 million to refinance an office tower in Chicago.
The Kushner firm also secured $325 million from Citibank after Jared Kushner met with Citibank’s CEO in the White House.

You're the one who should feel embarrassed, Moscow Mystic. You sucked on Schiffty's lies for three years, Moscow Mystic, and you didn't get the gravy he promised you.

Trump will be impeached....whether you like it or not. In fact whether I like it or not.

Your FDR defense or your Biden did it defense will not prevent his impeachment.

Btw what happened to that silly FDR defense anyway....you lose it?

Trump ain't going anywhere, whether you like it or not.

Biden shot his wad and is going home, whether you like it or not.

Here's a question for ya, what official role did Sidney Blumenthal have in the Odumbo administration when he was phoning in info and advice about Libya to Odumbo's Secretary of State?

Here's another classic quid pro quo shakedown...

Quote:
Nixon asked Kissinger to tell the South Vietnamese -- truthfully or not -- that the US Congress would cut off aid to the Saigon government unless it supported the accords.

“I don't know whether that threat goes far enough or not but I'd do any damn thing that is -- or cut off his head if necessary,” Nixon said. (News.com)

Hahahahaha!! What are you saying, little Andy boy? Was that an abuse of Presidential power? Well, here's a newsflash for ya - every guy who ever sat in the Oval Office has done the same thing!

It's called conducting foreign policy, little andy! One of the chief justifications for US foreign aid programs is that our money gives us "leverage" over foreign countries and governments. Whaddaya think "leverage" means, andy? It means they will be more inclined to do us favors, if asked.

When trump threatens to cut off foreign aid to Honduras and El Salvador unless they stop sending caravans of illegal immigrants toward our borders, is that an abuse of power? Or as you indelicately put it - a "classic quid pro quo shakedown"?

It's exactly what the fuck trump was elected to do!
