I loved the bird show. Was sorry they X'd it. Hope it is the same one as before.
I also liked the butterfly exhibit, crafts show, cooking demo's, animal barn, parade.

I bet if you ask, someone here will be glad to take you.
It helps to go with someone who has been before.
Be sure to read the Calendar of Events for the day you go so you can plan to see things.
Certain events have definite show times.
Or plan to go when a group you want to hear is playing on the Chevy Stage.
Go during the day but stay long enough to see the Parade of Lights and the State Fair light up at night.

Yes you should go. Probably during the week, in the morning. Less crowded. It can get seriously packed in the afternoon/evening hours.
Go for the food, and shows/exhibitions.
I personally love the auto show.

The last time I went to the fair... Big Tex burned to the ground. Interestingly enough-- that was also my first trip to the fair. Its not bad, crowd wise, if you can go early in the day during the week. My friends and I pretty much had the run of the place at 9:30 in the morning. Even got away with some Texas Star Hanky Panky

I have a family member that buys a pass and goes every day, every year.

But for me,
The crowds, while it is some good people watching, I can't stand people that are completely oblivious to their surroundings and just cut you off or bump into you, or maybe they are just rude lol

The smells, yep... most are not very pleasant, especially when 95 degrees outside. Something along the lines of a cross between a dumpster and that stale beer stinch. It's probably not too bad if you go on opening day or in the morning, and it's also probably less trashy/dirty in general.

The food, I agree a Fletcher's corn dog with mustard is a must. It truly is amazing how most everything else seems to taste exactly the same and is super expensive.

The rodeo and some of the exhibits are pretty cool.

Chung doesn't have joy for shit in regards to anything. He runs his mouth on here and has for years, acting like he is all knowing and all seeing. Glad I am finally able to speak up about him now that I don't care about my account.

People should look into how he has harassed members here in PMs and threatened them to give him services for free in exchange to not lying to admins about certain providers.

He's trying to get his account disabled and he's frustrated because the mods/admin haven't done it yet. Therefore, he's trolling & spamming the board to pressure the mods into disabling his account right away.
