Isn't that pretty much equivalent to being Mayor of Round Rock (about the same size), minus a large University? Oh, plus he's gay. But neither of those are qualifiers for anything, much less President of the Made Great Again U.S.A. In Mayor Pete's case, as bad as South Bend is fairing - he would struggle to win the dog catcher race, regardless of his sexual orientation. Pretty sure getting reelected for Mayor of South Bend is out of the realm of possibility as well.
