She grew up far out ... in the country!
Only one band that was booked was a no-show.

I had a friend in the navy who was going to the nuclear power prototype in New York. He went to the farm of a family friend for the weekend. He had to call his command and tell them he couldn't get back because the roads were clogged with human debris. They asked were he was and he told them it was a little town called Woodstock. They told him don't worry we know your situation.

Creedence Clearwater Revival -----Looks like a great set...wasn't in the film or Soundtrack...they were on top of their game then...so probably pretty good. "Fortunate Son" reminds me of our current fearless leader.
Some folks are born made to wave the flag
Ooh, they're red, white and blue
And when the band plays "Hail to the chief"
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no senator's son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no
Some folks are born silver spoon in hand
Lord, don't they help themselves, oh
But when the taxman comes to the door
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yes
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no millionaire's son, no
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no

And the youth vote put Richard Nixon in the White House.

Saw him at the Austin City Limits music festival. This was soon after he had won permission to sing all the CCR songs. Great show!

This isn’t related to Woodstock. But a great jam at Austin City Limits. Buddy Holly tune with the Bo Didley beat.

I thought he had "permission", but didn't want to sing the songs, because they put a sour taste in his mouth.. because he didn't own the CCR name. then finally decided those were HIS songs, fuck the rest of them.

Agreed.....those acid guitar leads on Suzie Q Part Two are fantastic. He doesn't get the respect he deserves. Born on The Bayou is another prime example of some of his best work.

"Lodi" and "Commotion" were non-hits that were big hit material.. CCR was unstoppable in 1969-70 alone. those 2 years are better than 10 years from most other good bands.

I’m partial to “down on the corner” It’s a happy tune.
With an orchestra:

I think his best riff is “Around the bend”

that's the song that the other CCR members sued Fogerty for "plagiarizing".. saying his solo hit "the old man is down the road" was too similar.
I'll be damned.. the non-singing/writing faction sued the fucking band leader, about HIS song that they owned!
un-grateful Bastards!

Nick and Bobbi stayed together and got married in August of 1971 and had 2 children ..... and they are still together today, getting ready to celebrate their 48th wedding anniversary and both of them excited about the 50th anniversary of the festival .....

Cool story bro. I wish there was an "priority" button. You and a couple other people would get it.
