Hobby Tips for Austin

Hi folks,

I'll be in Austin for the first time next week (18-20). I'm happy to see that ECCIE is active for the area. I only hobby when I'm traveling and a lot of places don't use ECCIE and it's hard to find out what they use. Anyway, I am hoping to get some advice on the following areas:

* Are there other sites I should check?
* Should I book several days in advance?
* What's the going donation?
* Any recommendation on who to contact?

Please PM me. I've been on hiatus for a while and would really like to find some gems.

1. Bring lots of $$$$.


2. Have a Plan B.


3. Have a Plan B for your Plan B.


4. Don't take it too personally when you are NC/NS'ed.


5. Don't believe most of the reviews you read - they're just plain B.S.!



Personally, I have better results when I see who's active on P411 - as in, checking their account 2-3 times a day.
