Bernie says that incarcerated felons should be able to vote.
No, this is not a joke. He even stated that murderers and convicted terrorist such as the Boston Marathon Bomber should be able to vote.

bernie is a nut.
felons should not vote in prison. they can vote post-prison.
however, I'm of the camp that prefers a permanent lifetime voting ban for felons. I'm in the minority on that one.

Permanent lifetime voting ban for violent convicted felons.
10 year ban for all others if they do not reoffend (or at least get caught)for the ten years after they pay their debt to society.
Is any country in the world so fucked up yet that they allow convicted felons who are in jail the right to vote from jail?

Socialist is being forgiving. He's nothing but a hypocrite and has shown to be such. He's socialist(like many who claim socialism) only when it's regarding other people. He pretty much said as much during his Fox town hall.
The felon vote it simply pandering for votes. Nothing more, nothing less.

I sense little support for Bernie and his wild ass hair idea about giving incarcerated criminals the right to Vote
Buttigieg has it correct - it is part of punishment to lose freedom and the right to vote.
I am open to consideration for restoration of the right to vote after Completion of Sentence and a 5 year period of law-abiding behavior.
Exclude violent criminals , terrorists, etc.

there's a parish in Louisiana wherein there is a prison
the inmate population exceeds the otherwise parish population
give 'em the vote and the inmates will be running the asylum

Yes - Louisiana Angola prison.
Most inmates have life sentences and will only leave in a box.
Quite a reputable bunch for the DPST's to be recruiting to vote for their Leftists socialist causes.
The DPST's will offer free pardons and release the whole bunch on Louisiana for their votes.
Won't that be fun for the law-abiding citizens of Louisiana - about whom the DPST's care not shit. !!!

Yeah I agree. The primary idea of letting incarcerated citizens vote is to vote Democratic. It sounds nice, and caring but it is about votes. If every inmate said they wouldn't vote Democrat Bernie would scrap his idea of letting them vote all together. These Democrats are nothing but hypocrites.

That was on Tucker last night. Using Wiki as a source, one can see 6,300 are incarcerated in Angola, but West Feliciana has a population of 15,600 -- of which only maybe a quarter to half are age eligible to vote. So, per Bernie's plan, Angola inmates could certainly dominate West Feliciana's local politics -- including who they elect for sheriff. A tax measure on a West Feliciana ballot in 2018 drew only 2,011 votes -- for and against -- total.
