President Reagan historic 1984 landslide...NUFF SAID!!

Most all the libs on the board have gone apoplectic and completely unhinged because the the absolute wasted investigation on the collusion
that NEVER happened!!
There are several polls t hat put Trump up against an unspecified Democratic opponent and Trump is beaten. There are several analysts pitting Trump against various Democratic opponents and sometimes Trump comes out ahead and sometimes behind. Do some research and you'll be able to follow what I am saying.

Daddy Bush was Conservative and lost heavily to liberal Clinton (370-168). Dole lost to Clinton 379-159. McCain lost to Obama 365-173. Romney lost to Obama 332-206. Meanwhile GWB beat Gore 271-266 and beat Kerry 286-251. Trump beat Clinton 304-227. So Conservatives. Yes Reagan, for whom I voted twice, won by a huge majority. In the last 7 POTUS elections, Conservative candidates have done much worse than Liberal candidates. 3 victories by 5, 35, and 77 electoral votes. 4 losses by 202, 220, 192, and 126 electoral votes. NUFF SAID.

BTW, I voted for Daddy Bush, Dole and GWB twice.

And, to repeat, I have never believed there was any collusion by Trump, but the main purpose of the investigation was to look into election tampering by Russia, which was a fact.

Unlike you who stood on the sidelines and did not make a prediction for the 2018 midterms, I will make a prediction for the 2020 election when election day is closer. Hard to be wrong when you sit out the game. I was wrong in 2016. I was the best on this forum in 2018.
Picking up house seats is not the same as a presidential election. A person who votes for Trump in a GOP district is not going to change their vote because they got moved to a democrat district.

Not sure what any of this has to do with the OP. The OP was about a two tiered justice system where an out of control prosecutor uses crappy charges to justify a legal fishing expedition against a defendant and their family. They figure that any conviction of anyone justifies the cause and time wasted.

The Clinton Bush face off was not about liberal versus conservative. Remember, no democrat wanted to run against a president with an approval rating in the 80s. They were all backbenchers and sacrificial lambs. The Clinton team came in with lies and smears to defeat Bush. After all, George HW Bush was the most qualified candidate of our time.

These off year election are VERY hard to predict...give me a fucking break!!
I'm not sure what you want me to say about the 2014 and 2012 elections. 2012 was not an off-year election. I assume you mean 2014 and 2010. I was not involved in the political forum and couldn't even tell you if it existed at that point in time.

Mid-term elections are actually fairly easy to predict. The party in power normally loses seats in the House or Senate or in both. Since all seats in the House are up for re-election every 2 years a large number of seats changing parties is fairly common. Since only 33 or 34 Senate seats are up for election every 2 years, the number of seats changing parties depends on several factors. The Republican/Democratic Senate seats up for election in 2018 coupled with 2016 election results made for a very favorable map for Republicans. It's not rocket science.

I honestly can't remember the details of all past elections. G HW Bush was definitely one of the most qualified candidates of our time and I voted for him.

Funny. In post #5 I was on-subject with my response to the OP stating that these continued investigations by Democrats could hurt them in the 2020 elections since Trump can be beaten and the investigations would be viewed by many voters as a negative. You brought up Politico in post #6 and the discussion moved in a different direction.

Another interesting statement. I did not vote for John McCain. Had more to do with Sarah Palin being on the ticket though. I admire him as someone who fought for the country risking his life in doing so and spent time in a POW camp. And then is criticized by Trump who did everything within his power to avoid military service.

President Reagan was the last TRUE conservative president...Bush won right after Reagan because the voters thought...wrongfully so...that he would be the third Reagan term.
All the other candidates that ran on the Republican ticket WERE'NT true conservatives...and it showed.

Trump emulates Reagan in a lot of way, but his ego gets the best of him...I don't like Trump as a person but I'm not looking for him as a friend...just someone who will have the country's best interest at heart...like Reagan did!!

I love the way a "mystery candidate" wins over Trump...what a crock for SHIT...I have asked you several times to name a person or persons who could defeat Trump and...NADA!! Mostly wishful thinking on your part.

The left can't win with the radical ideas they are putting forth...more freebies and no way to pay for them. The 70% tax rate on the rich is a BIG winner...the New raw deal is a fucking disaster...unfettered immigration, abolish ICE, sanctuary cities, free health care for all and promised "livable" wage jobs for all...yeah that's a winning platform.
P.S. Why don't you give us your "mystery" candidate...since you're SOOOOO go at predictions

A guy who "did everything in his power" would have fled the country or would have gone to prison. Your statement is over the top, unproven, and invalid.

When was the last time a real thinking voter said...I'm not voting for candidate "X' because of the running mate...COMPLETE BULLSHIT!!
So you voted for Obummer because of Palin...when you got "uncle joe" as your running mate you can't go wrong...make complete sense!!

SR posts supported, constructive posts and has my respect - although I often differ in opinion. Unlike the DPST Axis of Socialism posters - I differ and have no respect.

Palin was a terrible choice , and McCain had major Head and neck surgery for melanoma - which many folks do not survive. I was very afraid Obama would be assassinated by idiot racists, and did not agree with his liberal stands. Glad Obama got through his 8 years - I remember no attacks on him. It was a tough choice. that year.
