California still has one of the biggest economies in the World, not country but world. The poorest part of the Union is still the South East which is still a deep red part of the country. New York has the third biggest economy in the the US. Followed by Florida which is neither a blue or red state.
Keep coming at me BOY, and I will continue to put your ass right back down.

They didn't scrap Obummercare as they said...with the individual mandate being scraped...it is in a slow spiral dive as it should be!!
No Republicans voted for that monstrosity...another unwanted gift from the "pure intentioned" socialists!!

Oh btw - I still think Hillary is gonna worm her way into the presidential race.

Hillary is gone. I understand that a few months ago you predicted Hillary would be the 2020 Democratic candidate for POTUS. You will be proven wrong.
Prior to the 2018 mid-terms, most Trump supporters on this forum predicted Republicans would hold the House and possibly even increase their majority. The solid economy would win voters over. Didn't come close to working out that way. As Democrats were overconfident in 2016, Republicans were overconfident in 2018. I am not confident at this time that a Democrat, whoever the POTUS candidate turns out to be, will win in 2020. But I think Republicans should temper their enthusiasm for a Trump victory in 2020. The warning signs are there.
Trump still has a long time to truly fulfill at least one of his major campaign promises. No repeal/replace of Obamacare. No wall. Renegotiation of NAFTA that brought little advantage to the U.S. Tax reform that he promised would favor the middle class but did not do so.

All those "accomplishments" were in place on November 6, 2018 yet Democrats won the vote by 8-9%. Lost big in the states of Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania which were of utmost importance in Trump's 2016 victory.
So I ask you the question - If Trump is doing so well why did Republicans lose the popular vote by so much? I'd appreciate an honest response.

The popular vote doesn't win elections.

It wins states. I'll repeat -- Trump won the states of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan by a handful of votes and that won him the election. In 2018 most Republican candidates lost big time in those states. If that voting trend continues in those states in 2020, Trump will probably lose the electoral vote. Popular vote DOES win the election of POTUS in the long run.

I must be looking at this in a different way. I don't really care about the popular vote -Trump knows what needs to be done to get in the White House. He knew that the way to the White House was not by getting the popular vote - sure, it would nice if that were the case - but it's not. That's not how to win the office. The main thing, I think, is to get your candidate in office - and there's only one way to do that.
Oh I think Michigan and Wisconsin are going back to Trump in 2020. Up in the air still with PA but it's not leaning towards him now.
