The speech by Trump was a big nothing. At least no lies were told for a change. The rebuttal by Pelosi and Schumer was a big nothing. We are back at square one. No foreseeable progress.

There is no "crisis" at the U.S.-Mexico border. The "wall" will not stop the flow of illegal drugs into the U.S. since they come into this country through legal points of entry. The new trade agreement will not be enough to fund the wall.

End the shutdown and get people back to work. Despite Trump's claims, they do NOT support him on the shutdown. The only reason Trump is pushing this so hard is that he PROMISED it to his supporters and he feels it necessary to deliver on it.

It's possible they get sued if it burns someone. Probably be one of these trumpers kids on vacay to look at the wall. I don't want a wall because it's just gonna get tore down. He coulda had the boarder secure he just wants to build the wall for legacy purpose. If he really wants the wall I'd ask for things the Republicans would hate in order to get it. Make it a "how much do you want this?" situation.
