They tried to help you fat asses and your fat blob offspring but you complained it's to controlling "let children decide for themselves" now you look for people to blame. Blame everyone but yourselves, thats the Republican way.

I'm not blaming I'm giving the psychological basis for it. Liberals have destroyed our societies cohesiveness, leading to fat fuckers on both sides who eat for comfort.

While waiting for my flight Sunday I did some extreme people watching( i.e being judgmental). I couldn't help but notice how many people were either way overweight or way to buffed up. Today's work out "muscle chick" reminds me of the female Russian athletes back in the 70s. It must be tough for people who are overweight. Just the daily tasks in life must be a grind. Whatever happen to "normal" people

Healthy people in general do not binge eat or drink. But they have to pay high rates for health insurance due to obese people alcoholics smokers etc.

Americans are more obese - both in weight and % of people overweight - from the 60's. Go back and watch a Frankie Avalon-Annet Funicello beach movie - and it is interesting to see the contract between bodies then and now.

https://www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/adult.html
Obesity is common, serious, and costly

  • The prevalence of obesity was 39.8% and affected about 93.3 million of US adults in 2015~2016. [Read CDC National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) data brief PDF-603KB]
  • Obesity-related conditions include heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer that are some of the leading causes of preventable, premature death. [Read guidelines]
  • The estimated annual medical cost of obesity in the United States was $147 billion in 2008 US dollars; the medical cost for people who have obesity was $1,429 higher than those of normal weight. [Read paper]
Obesity affects some groups more than others

[Read CDC National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) data brief [PDF-603KB]]
  • Hispanics (47.0%) and non-Hispanic blacks (46.8%) had the highest age-adjusted prevalence of obesity, followed by non-Hispanic whites (37.9%) and non-Hispanic Asians (12.7%).
  • The prevalence of obesity was 35.7% among young adults aged 20 to 39 years, 42.8% among middle-aged adults aged 40 to 59 years, and 41.0% among older adults aged 60 and older.
Obesity and socioeconomic status

[Read the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR)]
The association between obesity and income or educational level is complex and differs by sex and race/ethnicity.
  • Overall, men and women with college degrees had lower obesity prevalence compared with those with less education.
  • By race/ethnicity, the same obesity and education pattern was seen among non-Hispanic white, non-Hispanic black, and Hispanic women, and also among non-Hispanic white men, although the differences were not all statistically significant. Although the difference was not statistically significant among non-Hispanic black men, obesity prevalence increased with educational attainment. Among non-Hispanic Asian women and men and Hispanic men there were no differences in obesity prevalence by education level.
  • Among men, obesity prevalence was lower in the lowest and highest income groups compared with the middle income group. This pattern was seen among non-Hispanic white and Hispanic men. Obesity prevalence was higher in the highest income group than in the lowest income group among non-Hispanic black men.
  • Among women, obesity prevalence was lower in the highest income group than in the middle and lowest income groups. This pattern was observed among non-Hispanic white, non-Hispanic Asian, and Hispanic women. Among non-Hispanic black women, there was no difference in obesity prevalence by income.
Shows Black and Hispanics had the highest incidence of obesity, followed by whites, then Asians at only 12%. Wonder why ;the race-baiting DPST aren't all over this as racial discrimination!! Gotta be a white male conspiracy. Maybe they just are not able to comprehend scientific reports from the CDC.

+1 on the over buff women. When their tits start to disappear, that should be a sign that they should back off a tad.

I weigh around 180 at 6’. It’s hard keeping in shape when you get past 70, it takes effort.

I was in the local HEB the other night and got disgusted by all of the lard ass women riding around in those carts. We are talking serious tonnage. Gross tonnage.

I see guys with these huge beer bellys that must add 100 pounds. Heck, how the heck do they do it. Just try picking up 100 pounds and walking around with it would seem impossible. Can you amagine that burden 24 hrs a day?

Probably is, good point.

But we have to be who we are, and it is hard to live as a free conservative, being as we are usually not welcome to state our true feelings.

So, if I were a moderate liberal, it would likely be less stressful. But I'm not a fat fuck either - I channel my hatred of liberals into exercising vigorously.

Jackie, if you made it to 70 without your body starting to deteriorate you are very lucky.

"From the time you are born to around the time you turn 30, your muscles grow larger and stronger. But at some point in your 30s, you start to lose muscle mass and function. The cause is age-related sarcopenia or sarcopenia with aging.

Physically inactive people can lose as much as 3% to 5% of their muscle mass each decade after age 30. Even if you are active, you’ll still have some muscle loss."

Also, the metabolism slows which makes it easier to put on weight. And blood flow to parts of the body slows. In my case to the achilles tendons, which severely impacted my running.

So I would say that once you hit 40 you have to work harder to maintain the same body characteristics. If you are in good shape in your 70s, keep it up!!
