Default latest CDC data on gun deaths in america

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/gu...ows/ar-BBQUCwy

When the data are analyzed by race and gender, they show that white men made up 23,927 of the total 39,773 firearm deaths last year, including suicides.
In 2017, the age-adjusted rate of suicide deaths by firearm was highest among white men at 14 per 100,000

Why are the Dems - DPST - continuing to agitate for removing guns from America. CDC data clearly shows white men are the vast majority of deaths. White males are not one of the Plantation minority groups owned by the DPST. Dems should rejoice at the news, and join with the NRA to revive the slumping gun market and add jobs at gun manufacturers. Easy way to get rid of the folks Dems don't want.
Fortunately, it seems the DPST is their own worst enemy!

You hear about the Aggie who tried to kill himself by letting his car idle in the garage for 2 days? It was a Tesla.

The meat of the article:
CNN's analysis also showed that 23,854 people died from suicide by guns in 2017, the highest number in 18 years. That's a difference of more than 7,000 deaths compared with 16,599 suicide deaths by guns in 1999.

The age-adjusted rate of suicide deaths by firearm rose from 6.0 in 1999 to 6.9 in 2017.

Firearm deaths in the data include gun deaths by homicide and suicide, unintentional deaths, deaths in war or legal interventions, and deaths that are undetermined.

When the data are analyzed by race and gender, they show that white men made up 23,927 of the total 39,773 firearm deaths last year, including suicides.

In 2017, the age-adjusted rate of suicide deaths by firearm was highest among white men at 14 per 100,000 -- compared with:

2.2 among white women
6.1 among black men
0.7 among black women
3.0 among Asian men
0.5 among Asian women
9.3 among American Indian or Alaska Native men
1.4 among American Indian or Alaska Native women

So if people want to commit suicide and they don't have access to a firearm, they won't kill themselves?

They won't use another method that's a whole lot easier to go through with, less violent, and less messy to begin with?

Good question....there is research that says they will not kill themselves

The article attempts to say gun violence is at an all time high, running rampant and out of control. That's not true.

http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank...me-in-the-u-s/

In 1993 there were some 1.2 million incidents involving firearms in 2011 there were just over 400k.

https://www.nij.gov/topics/crime/gun...s/welcome.aspx

If that's not enough, while I will not go so far to say that more guns was directly associated with less crime, the number of guns in circulation have blown through the roof at the same time crime was going down.

Of all the ways to get off the ride, firearms are used more than any one single method. However, in 2012 for example, all of the other methods combined made up half the number of suicides.

Would the half that did have access still be here if they didnt? Who the fuck knows. Maybe a few. There might be a few still here if they didn't decide to step in front of a bus.

Who is advocating removal of guns from America? Can you name one single Democrat-(with any power) who said they wanted to ban ALL guns in America? Not gun control, or reform or any of that, I mean outright banning of all guns. The nuts on the right wing who believe that are, kooks

grean I'm not saying your wrong but here's a different opinion about that. I took it like she was talking about assault rifles. If she wanted to ban all guns I think there would be more than one short clip. The loopy bitch is pretty well known and I'm sure there is lots of video on her. I would think this would be a Huge story

She got her "assault" weapon ban. She said, "If I had 51 votes to get them all, I would have done it." Since she alrrady got the "assault " weapons, what could she have possibly meant?

Do not fool yourself into thinking that there are those in power that in order to keep that power will push bullshit laws to get votes.

Actually statistics show that when a gun is in the home, the probability that someone in the home will commit suicide is much higher. Statistics also show that when a gun is in the home, the probability that someone in the home will be the victim of a homicide is higher.

"Every study that has examined the issue to date has found that within the U.S., access to firearms is associated with increased suicide risk."

https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/means-m...s-matter/risk/

https://www.vox.com/2015/10/1/18000520/gun-risk-death

"A new survey in the Annals of Internal Medicine narrows down some of the causal relationship between guns and death by finding conclusively that having a gun in your home makes you more likely to successfully attempt suicide. The authors of the survey also found with a lesser degree of certainty that people with guns in their home are more likely to be the victims of a homicide."

How come that link claimed it false. I thought they were pretty respected. She might think that but if its something she was really in support of I still think there would be more video. I agree politicians go to any length for a vote. Its a shame that so much grandstanding over bullshit is personal motivation to stay in power instead of really trying to help our country
